You were given an answer by two people now. Sorry it's not what you want to hear.

I don't know how realistic it is that they'll actually do instanced housing alongside the current system but at first he didn't want house demolition systems either, what they want can absolutely change based on feedback and what they deem necessary for the game.

They gave us apartments, though.
They only got implemented much later after people asking for something along those lines non-stop. They also got slightly expanded upon as per the community's request. "But Yoshi said so!" isn't good enough when he said plenty of things and later changed it.

The devs don't want to abolish wards and housing with neighbourhood feeling and that's fine but that system and better apartments or similiar forms of instanced housing are not mutually exclusive and that is something the "But Yoshi said no! Just accept it!" people don't seem to understand. Keep your house in your ward. Nobody wants to steal it from you, don't worry.
But let people request something that adds to a system that the vast majority of the playrbase is extremely unhappy with without taking anything from the people that are already happy.
We already have a form of instanced housing but it's not properly fleshed out. All it needs is some love and the community will be much happier with the state of housing. Wards can stay, no problem.

I have never known LianaThorne to troll, but that's beside the point this discussion is a dead horse. People have asked for instance housing for a long time. The lottery system isn't even out yet, asking for instance housing now is kinda redundant. Sure it would be nice but accept the fact that neighborhoods are a thing and they want housing to be exclusive. You sticking your fingers in your ears and saying no doesn't change what it is. They didn't have enough servers for login what makes you think they have servers for instance housing? This subject is dead until we see how the lottery and island sanctuary's go.

Thats a very good response. I believe that housing can be improved and expanded upon and I agree that everyone will enjoy the game to a greater extent with good changes and/or improvements.

The vast majority of the player base very likely doesn't care about housing, as the vast majority are the casual players who renew their subscriptions when new patches happen, hang around a week or two, and then do other things until next patch. Keep in mind players that post on forums, or in sub reddits are almost always the minority of a community.

As you point to apartments as what you're already looking for...they already exist? Get an apartment? Otherwise, I'm not really sure what is being asked for here.

I believe that the vast majority of people not caring is largely an assumption. The fact that it's been mentioned that this topic has come up several times means that its on alot of peoples minds more so than other topics or issues. That not to say that it's the number one thing on peoples minds but its definitely something that many people want changed.

Apartments is the instanced housing. people should stop asking for instanced housing and ask for improvement of the apartments system, like in house gardening or more choices of apartment size and so on
