A lottery would even invite bots more to do it... and also for not being there the competion for getting a house would rapidly increase as it would not be 5 people camping the plot, but 100 that has entered the lottery.
To avoid botting and to avoid people sitting wasting time, it would be better if you had 3 clicks per day per plot..

The timer needs to go but just removing it will give way to house flipping cretins. Hell, even if it didn't, imagine what would be required to buy a house, you'd need to race to your choice of ward selector and browse through the wards as fast as you can to get a CHANCE at peeking at wgite numbers and some guy already is racing to that place.
Nah, you need to give people time to know that the house is there for sale. I'd say make it 24hrs and make VISIBLE, byt that would just create a massive click war, every time, which might as well just be a lottery given how random that would be. Also, you'd need some premium Internet to be able to buy a house under those circumstances, giving people equal chances is much better on that case. -

A lottery would only serve to decrease your chance at getting a house. It would need to be dismissive of entrants to even give people a chance.
The only way I figured this could work is if you had to pay the money for the plot up front, and if you lose the draw you don't get anything back.
Even then I don't think it's better than what we have now. -
