Hi Eastrea - If it's the same issue as me, reimaging the PC wont do anything.
I have 2 different PC's on the same network. On one PC, I did all of the suggestions Square recommended, and reinstalled the game, etc. On another PC that hasnt changed anything hardware/software in years, I still have the issue.
Again, on both PCs, other members of the household have ZERO issues. :-/
I actually do have concrete proof it is a FFXIV server/game issue, but havent been able to get a support rep's response via Support Ticket, GM Ticket, or these forums.

Thanks Blackskanny for the heads up - unfortunately, no luck.
All my other friends who play have all cutscenes skipped, and no issues, so figured I'll anything at this point, since Square hasnt responded to this post yet. :(

Unfortunately I've developed the same issue within the last 3 days. Updated NIC drivers, did some general disk cleanup, double checked router/modem on my end and still disconnects 5-30mins in.

i have the same problem as well but mines happened at the start of 5.2 and i can play for about 2 hours a time before getting kicked

For the love of God and all that is holy.... will someone from Square Enix PLEASE look into this issue?!?!?! This issue has been occurring since the last patch.mmmm

I would like to chime in on this.
I'm not sure when it exactly started as I took a break from the game however for the last couple of days I seem to get a 90002 error about every hour or so.
It is really annoying.

Hi Azahel - Please create a post or a ticket. Square Enix still hasnt responded to my post here in over a week. Hoping the more people post, the more they'll take this seriously.

Based on the information in this thread, and the replies from the support system, it seems as though you have attempted all of the connection troubleshooting we would normally recommend. Unfortunately, you are most likely running into an issue along your way to the server. Since this is the case, I'd recommend contacting your ISP regarding the issue.
