My point is this.

First, we should ask for something to be even added to the game first and foremost. If they say no, due to any reason including "We wouldn't know how to distribute it to players" THEN that's when you ask for it as a mogstation item because that'll perk up the ears of the investors. You dont just jump straight to the nuclear option straight away when at the end of the day we could of gotten a lot of items currently on the mogstation if we asked nicely for them as rewards for in-game content first.

And yes, while its technically true that the sub only gives access to the actual game...The way mogstation behaves and is priced is aweful considering the sub, The current mogstation would be more at home on a free to play or buy to play MMO, not a subscription one.

Plus, the fact that its the only main revenue stream back to the actual budget of the game should not only not be our concern at all as customers and consumers considering THEY'RE the ones that introduced it as such and not us, but its also very likely a myth - The game is developed and published by the same company, with all their websites hosted on the same servers, i very much doubt that the investors and shareholders dont even get to touch mogstation mony at all because "oh well its for the game, you cant have it"

Let me put it this way - Which would you prefer?

A) The new Y'Shtola garb/Krile garb being a drop from a fate, NM or other piece of content, perhaps even as a reward for the new Ishguard restoration leaderboards.

OR

B) Paying 2x the cost of the base game, or about 3 months worth of sub time for it to be delivered to you via mogmail.

If no one bought anything from the Mog Station they would have closed the damned thing and we'd have everything in there included in our subscriptions. Everyone who pays for microtransactions is part of a very big problem here and elsewhere.

There are tons and tons of requests for things to be added into the game. The team seems to be swamped otherwise we would have things like viera hair, or male viera/female hrothgar. Yeah, just asking for an item in general is probably the best way to approach a request, but a requested item appearing on the mogstation is much more likely. Plus these kind of items seem to appear regularly on the mogstation, so there is already a pattern. So understandable people would jump to it first off.

I completely disagree with this. The mogstation would be a sorry excuse for a cash shop if this was free to play, or buy to play.

Let me put it this way. The Y'shtola garb/Krile garb wouldn't exist without the mogstation. Nor would a lot of this game for that matter. The mogstation supposedly directly funds the devlopment of the game, I think we all enjoy.

Which is why i made mention of it that we should really stop asking for things to be added to the mogstation, and instead ask them to add it in a general request.

"Can we have this outfit available to wear?"

or

"Can you put this outfit that is already in the game files i've downloaded, on the mogstation, so i can pay the equivalent of a full tank of petrol for it?"

Like the Bennu mount for example - It should of just been added to T13 as a drop like all the current raid tiers - It would reinvigorate interest in the content and give people a reason to farm it....Buuuut nope, apparently, just add it to the mogstation and charge £25 and nobody bats and eye, apparently. Not to mention the Bunnu mount is just a reskin of an existing mount you can get for free. Its stupid.

But you 'glorious' Anti-Mogstation-people DO realize, that the devs will most likely give you less stuff to glamour / play with when your hated pay-service vanishes, yes? Less money-income means less resources means more things will get cut.

That's the right of it. If the mogstation was cut, we would see more things cut, or never added to the game than ever before. People should be thanking the whales. Don't get me wrong there is a balance, but this game handles it's cash shop well.

As someone who plays games with lootbox system that you have to pay real money for, I love Mog station so much. Imagine paying say, 20 (what ever currency you use) for few boxes you can't even guarantee you get the item you want from vs. paying 20 (again what ever currency) to get the exact item you want with no RGN in the purchase. As much as I would love to not always use real money aside from the sub payment, the more people use Mog station the more items we get.

They are asking for an unique in game npc character outfit, they have always been mog station, while I would prefer getting stuff in game 1st before cash shop SE has kept to the trend that if you got a unique outfit that'll be all the moolah buddy to wear it.

Other threads asking for unique new things not shown in game sure I'm with you on can we not ask it to be mog station and just request it instead, if it ended up there so be it just don't jump to it thinking it'll get implemented faster.

Pretty sure Delita’s outfit already exists in the game. If you want the exact color, you’ll have to wait until SE decides to release a dyeable palette-swapped version down the road as a dungeon drop or crafted set. His set isn’t as special as Alma’s and will never be mogstation gear.

Love how you people still think the money goes back into this game and isn't just taken by SE to be used on other games.
