I'm trying to figure out why people are so upset with superbolide. It's not meant to be used as a invul like a paladin. It's an oh shit button when you're low hp and about to take a big hit that would kill you, with an 8 second window to get healed. It doesn't require 100% healing so popping a bene is not necessary.
If you have to pop healer CD to deal with it, maybe you should have used said cool downs to prevent the tank from needing to use superbolide in the first place. It's not a bad CD at all. It's a reverse holmgang. At least it's not as atrocious as living dead. That ability needs to be deleted from existence.

Completely removing tank invulns would basically make tanking alot of the fights impossible as a solo tank in savage and ultimate which would require tank swaps and tanks don't like that. Tank swaps are very... annoying still.

Solution: tell a tank you are waiting for them to use Super before you'll use your Bene. Then if they won't, that's on them. Nothing wrong with Super, just need to communicate its use. It's no different from using Living Dead and how Paladins shouldn't Hallowed before Holy stun has worn etc.

The fact that it just puts you there to start with, then makes you invulnerable isn't TOO much different when used properly than Living Death or Holmgang. The problem comes from tanks using it perhaps when it doesn't need to be, which is something that the other invuln skills don't punish the healer for doing.Quote:

tl;dr: this isn't a worthy complaint, it's fine as it is.
Not when the trade off is complete immunity. The idea is that it's only worth using when you're that low on hp, then it's a no cost free immunity that keeps all incoming damage off you and let's the healers help you back up from the brink of death. It's only bad if a moron uses it with 50%+ hp, then it's just a stupid player, not a stupid skill. I can just as easily say Rescue is a shitty skill for healers who don't put faith in the movement of a tank or dps and pre-emptively use it while screwing over their rotation and getting flamed at for yanking them when they already were aware of the mechanic. Instead, I don't, because Rescue is super useful in a lot of situations, I instead blame the idiot that uses them at inopportune times.Quote:
