To be fair, looking at some of the posts i see in GD... I wouldn't bother either.
To be fair, "General Discussion" is just that - general discussion. It is not the go-to place for constructive feedback. There are other sections of the forums for some of these topics.
Want to talk about the lack of a healer role for 5.0? Try the Healer Roles.
Want to talk about free companies getting the shaft for world shuffling and no compensation at all? Try the Companies section.
Want to discuss the lack of appealing forum bans? Have a friend(s) start a topic in the Feedback section of the forums.
Want to give feedback on how much you love Eureka and relics being there? Show your support in Other Battle Systems.
It'd probably help if topics were largely consolidated. I'd assume a thread with 100+ with maximum posts per page would garner a lot more attention than a couple of people spamming the same topic in new threads everyday. It'd also give a better environment for people to post feedback for both pros and cons and not have to look at multiple threads for the general feeling of a region toward the topic.
It'd also be great if people took the time to research if their questions have been asked, and answered, in the past; like that updated graphics when thread.
I believe it has been stated before that the community team pools a list of topics and posts with the most likes/posts and forwards that to the dev team. So essentially, when people make 300000 topics about the same thing thinking that that is how they get dev attention, nope, you are actually making sure you get no attention instead.
Yeah, we should all probably try to self organize a bit more as a community. The disorganized nature of the forums is something I've taken notice of and the mods seem to give us a lot of freedom. Many threads that would fit into the specific forum categories given to us are opened here in General instead. Responding to hot topics here as a Dev would probably feel like a tense situation given how passionate people can get on the forums. I've no doubt that I've come across as overly argumentative or adversarial to a lot of people myself (my apologies).
All in all, if posters cleaned up a bit more, the important feedback would only be easier for SE to view if they wanted to look.
Problem is most people don't have the patience or wherewithal to join or search for an already existing thread cuz I'M ANGRY AND MY OPINION is the most important and must be heard.

So obviously if i create a new thread people will flock to mine and no others. like the other posters above have said - contribute to an already existing thread. make it a million pages long. make sure relevant posts with the most constructive feedback to say get tons of likes. that's what they're looking for.
So I'm curious when "not replying directly to you" = "doesn't listen to English audience at all"?
Seriously, just because you don't get a personal response to your Concern (TM) doesn't mean the feedback isn't being received. And just because you think something is a good idea, doesn't mean they think it's a good idea. So if they don't implement your idea, that doesn't mean they aren't listening.
Yess
The english GMs really could show a little presence here.
In the german board the GMs writing much more often and interact with the community more. Too bad the german community is only the same handfull of people all the time who shoot down everything wich isn't in their mindset. Hard to find like minded people over there to bring something forward to the GMs >.>
They even had a "News from the dev team" topic, where our german community manager posted some stuff about what the devs were currently working on.
There was this german community live stream where you could play together with the GMs to clear some raidturns (only normal mode, but hey).
Fan Gatherings where people met with the community and the GMs in some pub or whatever it was.
But here in the english board? Nothing.
Some presence of the GMs from time to time would be nice, so we actually know we are not shouting into an empty hall...
Sometimes it may take a while, but I think they do listen.
Take Chocobo companions for examples. You use to have to dispell them if you wanted to queue for a duty.
I remember people making threads on it long ago, and it seemed like we'd never get it. The thread was abandoned and forgotten, but we still got it.
I think that most people just don't pay attention to all the little quality of life stuff that they do that have all been little requests from us here.
