So.. i just got my first toxic party

I was with you till this last post. But theres a few red flags there for me.

You likely met a pre made who were not in cuddle mode and wanted to get their stuff done. If the healer is not kept busy by the tank they find stuff to entertain themself such mischievous things.

Adapt and learn, why not try his way before refusing it outright.

and that's not true with what I said how? I said if tank/dps/heals sucks you pull less. Optimal party pulls all. I never said anything about heals pulling mobs.

Chain pulling mobs is NOT the norm, moreso when people need the time between pulls to recover a bit unless you mean coordinated premade groups that know exactly how far they can push things. Another thing is making huge pulls as far as you can, that yes, are no longer rare, but they are still not mandatory and thats up to the tank and healer (if one of those dont want big pulls is usually better to not do it)

I usually dps so I try and adapt to the way the tank and healer wish to play. If it is overwhelming and I end up getting too much agro or not enough heals and they won't adapt, I just leave and move on to the next group.

Sorry but it isn't the tanks job to pull every mob in the dungeon at once just because the party is in a rush. If that were the case they would just include all the trash mobs at the very beginning of the dungeon and then you would go straight to the boss. They are staggered in groups through-out the the dungeon because in terms of gameplay this is the minimum the tank should be able to handle. You can pull more mobs if you are comfortable with it, but it isn't required. People need to stop trying to turn this game into what they think is the norm and what the actual norm of the gameplay actually is. The Tank sets the tone and pace if you don't like the way he pulls find another party to your likeing.

Not to be rude but it sounds like the next tank got a free ride to an easy quick dungeon.
I main a tank myself and peopel who kill slowly, aren't able to keep up with healing, or are just generally not quick paced in general are the downsides you encounter. Finding a party that does more damage than me and wants to go fast is like a godsend.

It 100% is in any level capped dungeon.
Levelling dungeons are an exception of course, even when level capped.

So im not one of those people who is going to sit here and say that the big pulls are mandatory, but my experience is similar to Canadanes. In cap-dungeons(im not leveling anything, so i dont run many leveling dungeons) it is totally the norm. I do randomly get into groups with single pull tanks maybe 1 in 10 ques. Im usually more surprised then anything else when it happens.

If you're having trouble picking up groups of mobs, look for your one ability that lets you win. Every tank has one, and there's no excuse not to use them as your first gcd in leveling dungeons.

This healer was doing you a favor, and them not letting you continue to play at a snail's pace does not make them toxic. Basically, any healer worth their salt is going to tank mobs if they can heal through them-- it gives them more targets to damage anyway.

It's your job as a tank to match (not set) the pace your party can handle. If you can't keep up, a healer or DPS is going to take your job.

This is a waste of time and petty, in addition. While a healer can just heal through most tantrums a tank can have, with refusing to pick up adds, it's usually best to kick the tank for refusing to do their job to the party's satisfaction.

Usually you'll get a replacement fast, assuming you even need one, but if not you can now just freely abandon the dungeon without penalty because you're 3/4.

Even as a tank you're part of a team, and if your team expects you to push harder it's time to buckle down and make it happen.

I get super toxic players, mostly in the low level dungeons. Healers are the biggest culprits. The most frequent thing I see are healers who are nagging at tanks or healers over ridiculous things, like if they got ht by ONE attack out of a hundred and then suddenly the healer begins a 50 minute rant of "let me teach you how to play because obviously you don't know how if you got hit by one thing" or the healer micromanages the tank, like I just came out of a Tamtara where I switched from the invulnerable boss to kill the mobs that are giving the boss the shield, and so the healer decided to point out that "tanks shouldn't be doing dps jobs" and I just lost it on him and danced in the corner while he did all the work and the whole party decided to curse at me. Added them to my blacklist, I'm really sick of how crappy and toxic this player base is, its turning ME toxic and jerky because I've come to expect it in essentially any interaction.

I wish they'd just add a global "ignore' function, so that I could put everyone on ignore unless they are on my friends list, and if they try speaking to me it displays a nasty vindictive message that says, "screw off, I have you on ignore because there's a 685468546546545584175625264266524165254716765251267592167563951657425669542563695427651% chance that whatever you are trying to say me is something idiotic, mean spirited, dumb, hateful, and/or stupid and I don't want to listen to it."
