Why do you need to learn the class at level 18 if you're level 70? If you know the class at 70, then you know it at 18 anyway. Not to mention, let's talk about how "knowing Dragoon" until level 25 used to be literally Heavy Thrust - Spam Impulse Drive. That adds nothing to the game.

The process that you already went through? Sure. At level 34 Ninja learning level 34 Ninja things is fine. Once you're 70, why would you need to relearn level 34 Ninja things? You should already know them.

He doesn't need to. That's the type of community we have. No matter what they do, giving us full access to our skills will break balance. Even if they greatly nerf the potency for sync, we will still be out DPSin the new person who doesn't have all their skills.

Now now the first rule of it is you don't talk about it. So he's right, we kick for "differing playstyles" not a lack of dps.

If you think enmity is hard for tanks to hold at low lvls now, it would be flat-out impossible for new players if they made this change.

I already cringe just thinking about some poor sprout MRD or GLD trying to hold mobs against any lvl 70 dps synced down but with their entire toolkit of skills.

That's not the type of community we have. That mentality exists, sure, but not universally. And it's not even close to the majority. There'd be no reason to nerf potency, as it scales as is.

It's amazing what people so focused on high levels, forget about low levels. It's fine because there are always people using new classes. The system works as intended and works beautifully. Even when pld didnt get shield oath till 40 (boy that was painful) but by doing so, I'm an aggro holding champ.

Again, revisiting the lower levels is NOT a bad thing. I also prefer it to learn new classes such as I am working on rdm with my friends newly starting tank/heals. It gives me the opportunity to step back and examine each ability thoroughly therefore becoming a better rdm, and constantly revisiting lower levels reinforces the fact the amount of abilities you have doesn't make you good.

But you know....not everyone feels that way...team game and all that....

Did you read the entire post where I said Tanks need to be given the entire enmity toolkit before the first dungeon to make this possible?

As for your example, that's not an official stance. The point was posited that Square Enix won't do this because of a toxic community, and I've never seen them say anything along those lines.

When you think about it unless your selecting unsync your pretty much playing it as standard mode. Roulette's you may have to deal with, however you can always do runs unsync if you build your own. Besides some things can be avoided and in a way test players knowledge. Tanking for example can have some enmity issues but not impossible if a tank uses his tools like markers or communicates properly. Now if you have issues with other players welcome to the world of online gaming, build your own group.

Did you read the entire post where I was not quoting you and therefore it was not your suggestion to which I said would not work?

Honestly, your idea isn't bad, but I agree with the previous poster who pointed out that it's not that low lvl tanks don't have enough enmity tools, it's that they aren't properly taught how to use them.

And there is precedence for SE adding or removing features solely because the playerbase became too toxic. Why do you think there is no chat allowed in the Feast?
