As if this was new. Low skill playerbase has been a thing since 2.0 was released. The game hands everything out to everyone, something Yoshida's openly admited many times.

Wait... There are people out in this game that actually read what NPCs are saying?

It is different for tanks though. Can't say I've ever seen complaints like low-level:
LNC/DRG using combo instead of ID
ARC/BRD anything
ROG/NIN not dotting correctly
Etc.

Eh, low level dungeons are so boring that I enjoy it more with a noob tank who creates some chaos!

It depends. I don't use Flash often, but if I am low on TP, and there is still AE enmity need, I go to Flash. Sometimes I mix it into my Overpower spam just to be a bit more conservative on TP. Depends on the group really, but I have occasions where it is handy.

Like all things tank, it depends on the dungeon, the group, etc.

Yep and that's the issue with new players they just skim/skip over everything and then when you try to teach them anything *crickets* nothing. I can't hold your hand all the way through the dungeon I got into an AV with a CNJ, GLAD, (BRD me), and a SMN, the SMN left instantly. This was back in 2.X I talked to em for a bit, told them to unlock job stones, they said "oh I didn't know that" and then they left to do that. I hope today that they're better tanks/healers...but who knows.

nah it isnt new, long ago i had a gld run tam tara and all he did was attack a mob till he killed it and went to the next group, while the rest were wrecking the healer and us, well not really wrecking, eventually the smn pulled out titan though, and pretty much tanked even the final boss. Its moments like these when the community really has to consider if that level 60 tank is really as awful as they think

For WAR Infuriate > Tomahawk/Overpower > Brutal Swing > Heavy Swing > Unchained > Skull Sunder > wait until GCD is almost done, then Berserk > Butcher's Block > SE combo > Fracture > BB combo > Inner Beast > pacified and time your overpower and not over use it can insure you don't use flash. Your better of using a different trait instead.


Even at low level as long as you know how to manage over power there should be no reason you use flash. At low levels, being your tank, you can mark targets for lower dungeons to ensure party knows were to focus, makes rotating combos a lot easier also than DPS going to different targets and making you over work.

Why would you spam Over power? unless your using blood bath and about to be ko'd? Unless your way under gear i guess.

you could also do Defiance, infuriate, unchained, berserk, bloodbath, tomahawk, heavy swing, skull sunder, butchers lock. to pull as well or start with storms eye.
