It just looks like a black velveteen robe to me...
Weapon looks like a normal conjurers weapon, spell looks like a standard Fire II effect.
Not seeing anything special in that picture really.
Same hat that the NPCs that are spawning wear, just black. Herp derp.
It wasn't pointless at all. :( I specialized as a damage-dealing SCH, and more often than not I was doing a lot more damage than the better geared black mages out there in raw nuking power, not to mention I was a helix fanatic and by the end of their duration, those helices equated to more than an ancient magic spell most times. And for only like, 79MP? something like that.
Well, for me it was that SCH was much more versatile than a BLM role. Black Mages nuked and... that's as far as their capability goes. Maybe a few cures to help out in healing, but not very effective. SCH could enfeeble, heal, nuke, and use all of their spells in innovative ways with the fact that they could apply them to multiple mobs instead of one [i.e. graviga, bindga for added crowd control]. Oh, and lets not forget stormsurge which added +7 to your attributes as well as damage increase for magic attacks according to the element applied ^^b It did a lot more than just step on toes
Whatever it is that gear looks really stylish. :D
Ifrit drops Sorcerers robe and hat its probably that. con/thm
SCH can come off as a bit redundant in FF11. It does offer a new play style over BLM, WHM & RDM though.
I think SCH would compliment FF14 better than it did FF11. Since there would be no need for a whole new class, they could just utilize it as a job specification.
