Foreshadowing SCH or just random attire for CON and/or THM?


As a fellow former SCH enthusiast from FF11, this makes me happyface. I might break my "maining melee onry" promise and go back to mage if this shapes up well.

SCH was a pointless addition to FF11.

And hope they don't make the same mistake with this game.

They could do with redesigning THM to be more like a necromancer though, especially how the THM quests hint at zombifaction and having control over the dead.

I havent done the thm quests, but in other stories it is hinted at that the thurmaturges secretly practice necromancy, however the are always denying it, it could be different in the thm quuests as I have not done them.

I personally loved SCH it was the only mage class in XI I could get past lvl 7.... I got it to lvl 37... I really enjoyed playing it, You were never stuck to a specific role sure people were still cookie cutter molding it... but I had a lot of fun with it. I do know a lot of people didnt like it though

Most jobs in XI were "pointless" but it's not really about their utility but about having more options for players. When PvP comes around it'll be tough to implement more "optional" jobs though, since balance is everything and more jobs = harder to balance.

ya the dress might remind you of a sch but have too look at the weapon. SCH would probably carry a huge tomb with them and when in melee the just drop it on the mobs head and watch it go splat because it is such a huge and heavy book XD

Who knows how jobs will branch off. If this isn't CON, then perhaps a future THM could be BLM, SCH & NEC.
