I'd like to see her be the Dravanian Beast Tribe leader for those quests. I think since she's the host for the summoned Shiva, that would make sense.

They both seem to think the solution to the war is for Ishgard to be wiped out. I think she may become an ally but I think she is going to have to swing more back toward the middle. I think she is a bit too pro dravanian at this point. If anything, I think its going to be up to us to stop the war but stop it our way and in a way that unites the north rather than simply destroying one side or the other. When the Garleans come knocking I think we are going to want to have the Dravanians and the Ishgardians on our side.
Note the little prophecy from way back when when we had that lead up to 2.5 Producers blog. It said "only the Ivory Lance can pierce the Ebony mail". That is pretty clearly referring the Ishgard, not Dravania. In short, we will need Ishgard to beat the 'Ebony mail' of probably Garlamald. Its not going to be much help if its a smoking crater.
I guess that Ysayle looked at the Ishgardians as oathbreakers and she knew that somehow Hydaelyn and Midgardsomr are on the same level (hello.... he stripped the Warrior of Light of Hydaelyn's blessing). So, she wanted to get back at the Ishgardians for mistreating Midgardsomr?
Remember that Dravanians are also a race, albeit they're not humanoid, and they live for a very long time. So, if the Warrior of Light stands for Hydaelyn and Eorzea, couldn't Ysayle stand for Midgardsomr and the Dravanians? We fight Garleans because they want to rule over us but the Dravanians are already been betrayed by the Ishgardians (for whatever reason). Now Ysayle wanted revenge against the Ishgardians for the sake of the Dravanians.
Speculations though.
The betrayal was outlined in the DRG job quests. The first Dragoon led a company to the chasm where Ishgard now stands, fought Nidhogg and ripping his eye out at a treasure.

I'll bet gil that the 'Halone' who appeared and told the early Ishgardians to go to a 'promised land' was just an Ascian stirring the pot for a long-term plan. The fact that one is (literally) behind the throne in Ishgard seems to imply that, imo.
What's strange is that, even though they do recognize they attacked the dragons in the first place (and provoked the war), they still think the dragons are the evil ones because Ishgard is "the holy place". These people just came out of nowhere and attacked the dravanians ffs. and they think the dravanians are the bad guys ?
my opinion too.
Though this "long term plan" is very likely to be urged to its end faster than expected as the Ascians acknowledged you as a serious threat now. I can sense a huge disaster striking Ishgard soon. Dragons invading might not be their first priority in the near future :p
(I do hope all of this will conclude into pacific cohabitation of Ishgardians and dravanians in their homeland.)
I wonder if they want the Ishgardians to wage war with the Dravanians (and dragons in general) because Midgardsormr (and the dragons in general as their king) is on Hydaelyn's side against them. That's be a good reason to inspire this age long war against the dragons.
