This is true. But all these advantages are cooldowns, and they add relatively low amount of overall AoE DPS to a full dungeon run. Under Raging Strikes, a SMN's dots come out barely ahead of SCH because of Aero & Cleric stance. Enkindle does good burst AoE though.Quote:

-When there are 4+ mobs, the extra dot(Aero;200 pot) SCH gets is no longer an advantage.
-SMN can use contagion to increase the duration of their dots so that they can Bane 3 mobs, then bane another 3 mobs from the same dots(that'll actually last).
-Therefore allowing more Blizzard IIs to cast.
-Garuda has her own aoe which is about as strong as 1 1/2 Blizzard IIs
-Buffs give SMN the better initial AOE, although Raging Strike and Enkindle may not be up for every pull, SMN still has access to this.
-When there are 3 or less mobs, Aero then becomes greater than spamming Blizzard II
-However when there are less mobs(3), SMN might as well start Festering
-SMN also has a pet that is constantly attacking.
-SCH's dots do tick slightly harder than SMN's(w/o buffs), but their offensive pet makes up the difference.
Conclusion: SCH dots may tick higher than SMN normally, but SMN's pet and other offensive abilities place them equal or slightly higher(in AOE). -

Trying to put all 3 single target DoTs on a pull with 3 or more targets is an exorcise in futility. By the time the third set comes up, the DoTs are falling off the first target, and trying to get those DoTs up while 4+ Targets are wailing on your tank ... Yeah, good luck with that lol.
Also, Holy pwns everything. The only gear difference between my WHM and SCH is that i have the i110 Book, but only i80 Thyrus. Holy still crits for 1k under Cleric Stance >_> -
