Either do I, to be honest, but that's not the the point of this particular argument. WHY someone wants to do something is their own business.
WHAT they can or can't do is the issue.
Is it only me who noticed they took the question wrong? as many people have asked around to lift the glamour restriction on SHARED gear with different jobs, aka mages, healers and tanks (and ninja+monk now) wearing AF glamours, nothing to do with the answer they gave related to be able to wear a tank's gear as a healer. Or at least that's how I interpreted the question.
"Ninja is a DoT based class that will require more managing of the battle" - Actual truth : Ninja is just a Faster GCD Dragoon with magic instead of jumps.
"Housing will be separate from FC housing" - Actual Truth : Private and FC housing are shared in every way.
" We don't want to break immersion with outrageous glamours" Actual truth : You can be a Reindeer, Santa Claus, wear a tux/dress, wear practically nothing, look like a mage as any class and still go into battle.
"warrior is just as viable as paladin 2.0" -actual truth : Everyone went double paladin because SE is crazy.
Are you really surprised? There's more but I don't feel like going over it all. To be honest it doesn't seem like they're trying to lie or be dishonest though. It just seems like they don't really know 100% what's even inside the game or how it works sometimes.
It isn't, as they seemingly based glamours entirely on class restrictions rather than armor class (FFXIV does not have armor classes the way LOTRO and WoW do). And this was more because when originally discussed we had a bunch of people already complaining about how they didnt want black mages in full plate armor and how tanks in bikinis would look ridiculous.
Chances are they'd have to create a completely separate ruleset for glamours separate from class restrictions or make everything available for everyone. Of course, they could go the SWTOR route and implement "all classes" sets that are plate and dyeable acolyte gear and so on in the cash shop. I don't think they'd be dumb enough to do that, but...
All I really care about is them making it so I can glamour my Odin Armor onto other gear instead of being forced to wear JUST the Odin Armor when I want to look all Dark Knightish.
I always figured it was convoluted and retarded.

I'd actually prefer it if the tightened up those items that can be used to look unlike your role. I also really dislike swimsuit tanks and Snowman heads.
