I also like the idea of slot costs that scale with level/rank. When I first started playing I thought this was the case... I then noticed that my slot cost didn't increase even when I achieved a physical rank of 50...
Rather than abolishing slot cost, I think they should do one or a combination of the following:
- increase slot capacity as rank rises (ex. r10 4 slots, r30 12 slots, r50 20 slots)
- adjust the cost of individual items (4 cost for a r40 ring etc is ridiculous, you only get THREE pieces of equipment? Come on)
- increase the slot capacity overall to at least 20
IMHO, too much gear as is. They should just have two ring slots and two ear slots. No slot costs.
Please re-read what you are 'disagreeing' with. Why would you NOT wear plussed items just because you were limited to their amount when they are also suggesting that normal items have 0 cost and it wouldn't limit you to filling up your remaining slots with those.
I personally like this idea...
Instead of just giving you free slots as you rank up, why not add some quests to be able to do so. When they do away with physical level, this would allow a seasoned player to retain a slight advantage when leveling a new class. More accessories so you get a few more points, but it's not overwhelming since high level gear is scaled.
Slot cost doesn't really effect me, especially at 50. I'm always able to put any ability I feel I need on my bars. The rest are pointless.
