If you logged in on a different IP, then your account gets automatically suspended which i suspect is the reason if you were using WTFast. You should get an email to reset password, reset your password, then Tada, you can log in.
Thanks! I filter all SE emails so it didn't pop on my inbox. After I pay and with Crysta since for some reason they don't want to accept my credit cards they claim there was a chargeback on the account.... I have a receipt from Ultimate Pay confirming the payment. How hard can it be to pay them to play the game!?!? At least it happened on a maintenance night...
Thanks for reminding me to check the folder for SE emails :).
Tomorrow, if they give me too much trouble I'll just put my 3yo on the phone to ask them why 3 million times! (Good thing I did all my roulettes except trials this morning ^^;)
OK I'll have to ask, what's a chargeback? Like a cancelled payment? I am guessing this is error on their part since I have a receipt of the transaction. If this is somehow cause for perma ban I am going to be furious! In the last month, somehow my automatic cc payments stopped working, they don't know why, they don't tell me what the error means, then they tell me to pay with crysta and now this? ugh!
Edit: I just checked my cc statement and my payment to ultimate pay is there, not withdrawn ... I'll update with the outcome tomorrow....
A chargeback is basically when someone says to their bank "I never allowed this payment!" and they take the money back. SE had it in the ToS (terms of service) that this would lead to an uncontestable permaban. I imagine it is th same for XIV. maybe the chargeback email is the closest they had as an error for you and you can get it fixed. Good luck though!
So I called them and they wanted me to write a letter to them and to the bank among other things. What happened was that my bank issued me a new cc after Target had the huge amount of data stolen. When SE tried to bill my card it didn't go through of course. I saw there was an error, I called them, they wouldn't tell me what it meant, they just said pay with crysta from now on... ok, so I did. Then suddenly 24 hours after I make a second payment with crysta my account gets banned. Mind you, I don't owe them any money since I paid with crysta when the payment to the old account didn't go through.
At this point I chose to not send the letter since this is so unnecessary hassle when I am not at fault. With any other company when there's a problem like this it is resolved as soon as payment is issued. I just don't understand why do they choose to operate in such a way. Apparently the CSR said that this is a big deal with their bank and it reflects poorly with them. I hope this doesn't happen to anyone else, please be mindful whenever you change your credit card number with SE as they won't send you a reminder or work with you for a simple, quick resolution. Now they also don't want to refund my last payment made with crysta (which is what THEY told me to do) and have sent to me deal directly with Ultimate Pay and I can't understand how they as intermediaries will help with this situation since I paid them and they already passed that to SE as my crysta balance is listed as 0 after the payment went through.
Oh well. There goes all my fun/work.
