See ya next patch.
Self-centered beings who think their departure from the game needs to be announced in the forums and that they think they will have any significance in the greater scheme of the game. To answer your grinding issues, yes there is grind but it's much better than many many many other games I've played. If you can see the light at the end of the path, then it's really not too bad. There are MODERN games that you may be grinding for MONTHS and maybe even YEARS and depending on who you are, you may still be no where near your goal. Right now animus is obtainable in a matter of weeks and you're already going boo hoo...
Goodbye and you shall not be missed.
Funny! The reason we have Atma farming is because they listened to 6 months worth of feedback of posts decrying the lack of long-term goals, any sort of grinding, the lack of open world content, etc. Could they have implemented it better? Absolutely, but every game has more than a handful of content that could have been done better. It's not a FFXIV exclusive problem. The next MMO you go to, there will be just as many QQ threads on how armchair devs can implement content flawlessly (without actually making real suggestions). But quitting because "Square Enix does not listen to its Constituents" is fallacious because it's why we have Atma grinding now.
So where's the source ever saying they were going to revamp the Atma/Animus grind with 2.25? The only thing they said is they are still processing feedback (partly because everybody has to make their own QQ thread instead of keeping it in one thread) and will address it in 2.28 along with the next "Novus" part of the questline. Another fallacious/bogus statement. The truth is they listened and have responded, but it just wasn't what you wanted to hear.
So Animus implies no challenge? Okay...
I see you have the Stardust on that job yet (Can't tell for your the rest of your jobs)... sooooo...
-Allagan <your weapon> ilvl 95 (Twintania farming) + Ancient Buckler/Onion Shield <If needed> (x3 Ex primal battles).
-Tidal Wave <your weapon> ilvl 100 (The same ilvl than Animus). Requires to beat Leviathan Ex then farm it for mirrors. It'll take less than Atmas and you'll be rewarded with tomes during the process.
-Weathered <your weapon> Soldiery tomes x 1300 (2 weeks and the first day of the 3rd week) + Unidentified Allagan Tomestone (Turn 7 drop: Challenge).
-High Allagan <your weapon> You need to beat T9 = Challenge.
SE doesn't listen to us...?
There're some of your answers. If they don't "fix" the drop rate of the Atma fragments, that's their decision because they're not handing out the Animus so easily (not to mention the cost of every book). If you claim to be hardcore (Or not casual), you might be focused on different and challeging alternatives for your jobs to get your progression. If you're trying to gear multiple jobs, trying to get the Animus is not a good idea at all...
It's a totally optional content. Yes, they listented to the complaints. Yes, there're alternatives.Quote:
New Gear
Zodiac weapon story is going to start in 2.2 and will continue in all future patches, including minor patches like 2.25 and major patches in 2.3
Zodiac weapons are not easy to do
This weapon will take time to do but there are no restrictions
You can combine Zodiac with other items
You'll eventually be able to customize your Zodiac weapon
They already responded.
They'll make it easier to get in a coming patch.
If you can't wait that long, then yeah, buzz off.
For those who complain about atma obviously the atma grind has challenged your patience and have won that battle. The amount of time you cried about not getting your atma you could have probably gotten it by now. Don't go into a grind thinking you are going to get an atma right away accept that it will take awhile.
