Regarding Luminaries.

Why should we work for useless achievements if SE is just going to open-hand slap crafters across the eyes?

Aside from the fact that they were hands down the best tools you could get for a time, yeah I'm totally sure they added them in 1.0 to be used as vanity items in 2.2.

The "AF" tools did not always exist. Luminary tools were far superior to anything else when they were first added.

Why would you even think that items from 1.0 would forever be viable in the highest tier for anything whether it's crafting, gathering, or battle gears. Don't confuse achievement grinding with progression.

And this is 2.x, not 1.x...
The AF tools likely got the same stats as luminaries because a number of luminaries from 1.x were botted, and SE wanted to equalize old and new crafters.

double or triple melded crafted tool were better than Luminary tool during 1.0

So yes, Luminary tools were never the best tools.

Does the new tools have new workbenches? Never seen anyone mention the looks yet. Luminary should at least have their own so we can glam despite all the historical talk.
