Lets hope, because soon melee DD classes will be "dead"- noone will play
I have been into 2 coil groups so far, every group will have one meele DD (either DRG or MNK). Not sure if your statement is valid, but nevertheless, meele DD limit break is highest and pretty sure every group will keep one.
There are only 4 DD spots in general, BRD will take one, Meele will take one, and BLM will take one, last spot is (insert whatever you want). Not sure where you are getting idea that Meele is not welcome, but it is certainly not correct.
Didnt I said every group will have one meele? Hello?
There are only four spots, meele take one, BRD take one, and BLM take one (AOE purpose), then a spot is (insert whatever job you like).
Which part of this foumula you do not understand? You claiming that no one want meele is exactly like those people claiming random number generator is not random. Are you even sure what you are talking about?
One of the problems every mmo faces is that ranged are often just more attractive damage dealer, moreso here because they have no positional requirements and have to move from red much much less often. Couple that with the fact that there really is only one type of damage in this game (fire, arrows, punching, it doesn't really matter) and there's no incentive to seek more than one melee unless the boss mechanics favor it, or job mechanics were created to favor it (like wow's paladins blessing of light that healed melee attackers, but even that wasn't much of a benefit).
If you are good, you'll get invites. If you use melee as an excuse to why you fail... you probably won't.
Am I playing piano to a cow? Not mean to insult by the way, just saying because you seems doesnt undertand or you dont read people's statement.
I already said, I have been into two coil groups already and both them have a meele. If a raid leader decides not to take meele for coil, you might as well dont bother to go, because he doesnt know what he is doing.
