Greetings... Oh... Im tired of being DD- Im monk. Why tired? Always healers and tanks are in need- noone need DD, especialy monk or dragoon. Especialy in Coil. You can advise to me to change class- that is nice, but I dont want. I like monk, but I cannot find group to Coil in my clan, in Mordhona. Nowhere- tanks, healers and Rdd are in need- noone like melee DD. So, I think... dear SE- can you change these master law of all MMORPG- to make melee DD here, in FF, much more valuable. I dont know how you will do this, but please, make something(

Ever try dodging AOE's? They did that...People still roll DPS.

Tanking is very visibly broken...The lesser evil = DPS...It is what it is.

People rarely shout for DD for coil for the same reason we have longer wait times in DF, there are more of us, so the DD spots fill quickly and easily. If even the people you play with regularly don't want to bring you, then that may be a different story. My mnk is consistently highest dps in my FC, even on movement intensive fights like Titan. However, a lot of people suck at melee DD jobs, and even though plenty of people suck at ranged DD, it is easier to get decent dmg out of a sucky bed than it is a sucky mnk, and the sucky brd probably won't get hit as often as the sucky mnk, so in PUGs people hedge their bets and choose ranged DD a lot. As for cool, every group I know has at least one melee DD, but that's just my experience.

They are already nerfing BRD and buffing DRG in 2.1. Tanks and healers will always be in demand because players tend to prefer big numbers and spiky outfits to battle management frustrations and "OMG u suk hlr go kill urslf".

Currently I have more fun as healer than on my DD jobs. Looking to get a tank to 50 soon.
