Free Company Housing, Not Player Housing

No I am not disappointed because ever since they announced housing they have been saying that player housing would come some months after FC housing.

And personal housing is coming because they usually get questions about if you can own a home in a separate zone from your FC house and they said yes you can, this was even asked/answered in the latest letter.

Quit pretending you can afford a house :P I hear they're gonna put up some lowrise apartments outside Ul'duth. As a GM I feel the FC only housing is a good idea, especially if I can lock everyone else out after they help pay for it. I think we could do this over and over and take up all the house slots on the server if we just support RMT to it's fullest extent.

Look me in the eyes and tell me no one else has come up with this idea? Yea, fun times.

When all the house slots in an instance get bought up they open up a new instance of the neighborhood. They said they will be monitoring this manually at first so they can keep an eye on server load etc.

I agree with you, TC. They better not get rid of player housing in favor of FC rooms. That would be awful!

I'm not sure where you're getting that it sounds like it's "OR", when the quote says "However, we are planning for both."

Edit: I guess I can see what you mean, but they mean 'or' for 2.2. Meaning they'll either do rooms in FC houses, or they will do player houses for 2.2. The one that doesn't get added in 2.2 will likely come at a later date.

Why don't you just start your own free company and then buy a house and treat it like it's your own?

He said both in there. Anyway I don't know why people are getting their panties in a bunch over this... Housing is largely an RP feature without a huge amount of praticality. It's fun, for sure but the amount anger and disappointment I'm seeing over individual player housing being delayed is redonkulous.

We are not here to test the game for them. We are paying customers...they should have either a test server like FFXI did or have their own testers.
