Crystal Tower, weaker gear than Coil, whats the point?

As someone with a primal weapon and mostly DL armor/accessories the tower sounds extremely relevant I can't wait to join.

Not going to happen sister. First you're going to have to do a long tedious/pointless quest to unlock it (possibly main scenario) and piss off even more Beastman forcing the story into the direction of a new Primal being summoned down the road. Which would be Shiva I would assume.

Hate to burst your bubble but, in an interview somewhere which I cannot remember, but someone might. Yoshida stated he "might" make relic weapons a requirement to enter.

What about the Story/Lore Point?

Final Fantasy always have a huge story and lore!

Why only reducing the game to gear?

For the Lilith Rod of course :)

I'm curious what ilevel the weapons will be. If Relics are needed, it would seem odd to drop ilevel80s, but if Coil drops ilevel90, maybe we'll be getting ilevel85?

I would like to know the answer to this as well. If relic +1 is the best weapon you can get, what is the point of new primal weapons? What need to be done is make the weapons be able to be converted into materia. then at least you can actually get some kind of use out of them.

In Yoshi's vision story and lore are irrelevant! Otherwise he wouldn't have changed the lore of how the Echo worked in 1.0 or how the Empire operated and the Garleans, not to mention destroy the Path of the Twelve.

CT is for 24 players.
BC is for 8 players.

Unless things have changed since Tokyo Game Show, the two are parallel paths of progression.

Vanity slots in 2.1, and Extreme Primal battles drop Primal armor.
And they weren't actually asking a question directly, they know the answer to the question they were just questioning the logic of the person they quoted.

Even though some would love to disagree, Coils is not a raid, but a dungeon and Crystal Tower is the first raid we're getting.
