If you are a WHM without Swiftcast, you are holding back your team at endgame

So I take it you don't put out heals to people who get hit by avoidable damage?

I think it makes sense to get to level 50 before getting Swiftcast. However, I agree with the OP that you should have it for endgame stuff. I won't expect healers doing dungeons like WP to have Swiftcast but for AK and beyond, there's certainly no excuse.

All the unavoidable AOE damages has intervals and fixed patterns. Thus, you can just predict it and pre-cast heals, use damage mitigation skills, or ready emergency heals like Lustrate and Benediction for key members.

If Swiftcast is required, something already went wrong. Also, wasting Swiftcast on Raise or Ressurection is a complete waste since revival debuff is already affecting the raised person. Especially on hard fights, it is better to restart.

1000 characters, and so many points to make...

1) WHM should HAVE Swiftcast, for insta-raise but ALSO for instant Stoneskin/Medica I&II/Cure II&III. I'm looking at you, four airship crashing phase of Ultima's Bane while ten magitek bits are locking on to me, or Siren debuff with 1 second left.

2) Shit happens in a fight, and even people who are otherwise really good can make mistakes and die. However, DPS should NOT use a WHM not having Swiftcast as the reason a run failed -- you're the idiot who got hit.

3) Also, why the hell is it "WHM without Swiftcast"? Last I checked, at least SCH/SMN should be included too. Hell, why isn't SMN the FIRST choice for insta-rezzing here -- it's not like you CARE about mana, but as your healer, I HAVE TO CARE ABOUT MINE. Stop waving your damage meter epeen around, give up a single Ruin, and raise somebody for the group's (i.e. yours too) sake.

Good thing nothing ever goes wrong ever right? You can recover from deaths even on EX primals, I've seen it done but with that attitude you have eliminated any chance of it, and potentially been the real cause of a wipe. It's a quitter attitude and it isn't a good attitude to have. If there is something you could of done then by the love of god do it and be a better person than the dead people who aren't doing their job.

As much as im not going to have fun leveling a thm i guess i have no other choice but to get it for the best :/

I love these "get good" people. Funny that so many server first Twintannia/primals feature a player being insta raised.

Oh and the world first video for Twintania... yeah those guys suck so much that two of them got raised.

Agreed, BG should of given up and called it a wipe. Those healers aren't playing right, they swiftcast raised. They should of instead given the others a lecture about dodging stuff.

Maybe something did go wrong but sometimes things do and swiftcast can mean the difference between a recovery and a restart.
