My static uses parses in a mostly positive way, if we are constantly hitting enrage timer on an ex or savage but unable to clear on a no deaths run, dps is cearly an issue. take your parse and plug it into xivanalysis which can help you figure out what and where did you go wrong for example.
I do not like parse flexing. But the guys in my static do it. However they aren't toxic or snobbish about it- more like "I did better this run." and it's a lot of "nice" after each boast.
I always bring my best regardless of what content I am doing, and I've never had any complaints towards me recently. In the past when I used to run on RDM, someone called me out- but this is long before I knew what bis was or proper rotation. Also, my drg dmg was low even though I never clipped, and rarely did a incorrect weave, it was because I was slow. Out of frustration in E11 savage, I started spamming my rotation and someone complimented me on it and I was like- OH WHAT. I was too slow this whole time? No wonder!!
I remember in my early savage raiding days, a ninja went on and on about his parse and how he was at one point the top ninja in NA. Like, great? Can you put that down as a qualifier on a job application? No one except himself was impressed.
So those are my experiences with it, I and many others are very aware how people wave it around alike a badge and how these people can stir up toxicity to the point of harassment.
