They need to make it so buyers can purchase as many items as they want from a stack (And make the MB stack sizes unlimited)
Sellers have one entry for each item they list on the board. When they put more items up, they get added to the stack.
This is one thing I pushed for in WoW, where players would list hundreds of single item stacks of crafting materials on the AH.
At least that's not an issue here, since we can only list 20 stacks (per retainer).
Rotating or zooming out your camera and have trees or leaves obstructing your screen.
When tanks take 50 years in alliance raids and don't use countdowns like they need an invitation to do so
we just sit there waiting, prepping 5400 times for 1 of the 3 tanks to pull (or in 8 man too.)
PULL FOR BABY JEBUS SAKE!

People who feel the need to insult posters during forum discussions. Do people really think that ad hominem somehow makes their argument look better?
While I don't like that myself, I respect that they are being true to their feelings and not opting to pretty up their post just to generate some likes.
I think people can be true to the their feelings without insulting another poster. If anything else, it ruins most of their argument in my eyes because they opted for the low blow as opposed to formulating something mature and constructive. Sometimes even those disagreeing can end up at an understanding when proper discourse is used and one (or both) sides don’t resort to calling the other names.
Attack the argument; not your opponent.
The complete loss of orientation after a res. Why does it fade to black and put me somehere else, facing somewhere else? Just make it like Heal LB where you resurrect on the spot with unchanged camera angle. Nothing worse than getting back up 4 secs before a mechanic hits, trying to find your orientation like a headless chicken just to get insta-wrecked again because you didn't find your spot in time.
Actually I find the raise via LB much more confusing. And from what I watched the majority of people have the same problem too. Because everytime the party gets raised by the heal LB is when they are running confused around like headless chickens and die to the next mechanic o.ô
Probably because there is no indicator or cue. Most of the time people assume it's a wipe and lean back to sip on their drink, tab out to look up the strat again or something. I had occasions where I died again bc in the stack, I didnt even notice I got ressurrected lol.
You wanna know what things really annoy me lately? (Grinds my gears)
Using shout chat, and being told "shout isn't for chatting".
Chatting in a CWLS, with other people of a CWLS, and being told it isn't the place for that chat. When what we were discussing was actually relevant to the CWLS.
Be Misunderstood! I Can count situation in my life that i said something and others took wrong direction.
During dungeons:
- Unresponsive player
- Players who do not pay attention to the chatbox during mechanic lull periods.
- Players who wants to have the last word by not saying anything until the end of dungeon (even though the mistake was theirs to begin with) then left right off the bat.
- "YoU dOn'T pAy My SuB!" :(:D:cool::rolleyes:
I'm naturally a chatterbox and I understand not all people can handle that. But to compensate that I try to keep myself from flooding the chatbox in dungeon with unnecessary texts. If I do chat in dungeon, they're mostly for the good of the group to ensure we can clear faster or advices. Of course sometimes it doesn't received well or even seen.
Lastly, the worst of all in general sense:
M.I.S.U.N.D.E.R.S.T.A.N.D.I.N.G
It should be possible to fail normal content if too much clownshoes.
"omfg y u want to make thing hard this not dark souls I have 989928 jobs and 3362 kids"
Maybe we shouldn't be able to infinitely raise in normal content. Perhaps DPS raises should be on a timer, perhaps all raises should cost more.
"omfg y u want to make thing hard this not dark souls I have 989928 jobs and 3362 kids"
Maybe we should give dps at least some responsibility to push buttons reasonably well in normal content to match the responsibility placed on healers and tanks.
"omfg y u want to make thing hard this not dark souls I have 989928 jobs and 3362 kids"
People who lack empathy and think it's a new skill for aggro management. Same people who wrongfully may also mistake empathy for handling others with kid's gloves on (i. e. in an overly careful manner).
Tryhards who think if content is easy-peasy for them, it is/should be automatically so for others as well.
"Snowflake casual" who mistake friendly feedback / criticism for toxic BS, on purpose or not. Social lowlifes who misuse anxiety issues as an excuse to play how they want; idiots who think anxiety issues is just an easy-way out to play bad. It's not such an black and white issue.
Trying to control others.
People taking this game way too seriously.
So, to summarize most of the answers to this whole thread :
"What annoys you in this multiplayer game?"
"Other players"
Lack of common courtesy;
- you can stay silent during the whole instance if you want, but at least say hello / goodbye.
- the rest of the party rushing ahead, leaving me/someone else behind
- people just being impolite / mean /agressive / impatient / inconsiderate / etc..
Lack of storage space, lack of glamour dresser space
The housing system... XD
Fetch quests...
Lack of content to do with other people outside of dungeons / trials...
General rush to endgame...
Constantly having to teleport to get a sentence or two out of NPC whoever. It's like uh is the linkshell broken?
Tanks - well anyone actually, but it's most often a tank - being impatient and speed pulling bosses.
I think the biggest thing that annoys me today is when you post a critique or something you would like to see improved in the game, the simple minded people who respond with "well just unsub," or "why do you play if you hate it?"
-Tanks who don't wait for new players watching cutscenes
-Healers who quit after a single wipe
-Healers who want to boss the whole party around
-Healers who talk as if they have the absolute worst experience out of everyone
-DPS who pull ahead of tank
-Tanks who pull the Iron Giant parade in Meridianum on purpose
-DPS who constantly moves away from AoE healing range when their HP is 50% or less
-Churning Mists Moogles
-Monster distribution in Shadowbringers maps
Healers that use emotes or jump around to kill time during a fight when there isn't an immediate healing need.
Do threads like this count?
1) Being inadequate, relative to the content I am doing at the given time.
2) People being petty when it comes to giving or responding to criticism.
3) People that just don't try to any reasonable or minimal benchmark, relative to the content.
4) The sound of a Rapid Synthesis failing, and the impending despair when no Rapid Synthesis' hit whilst under the effect of Muscle Memory and Veneration.
Pretty much, lol.
That is why I choose to play mmo solo. FFXIV players are so demeaning towards their player-base. FFXIV is Fortnite toxicity without the racial slurs.....So I give FFXIV credit there at least......lol....
Been through a lot of mmo, since the late 90s. I would say Guild Wars & City of Heroes were the best. I actually rock sprouts on alts, so people will avoid playing with me haha....I am in it for the main quest, that is all....not the endgame.
Too old for the drama. I would get a gf if I wanted drama...At least there is eye candy to be had there.
People who claim this game is toxic yet in the same breath espouse toxicity.
Content like Eureka and Coils of Bahamut dying quickly and never being touched again.
There is a fascinating, in some dark funny way, relationship between an obsession with acceptance and lack of self's ability for acceptance lol. Which isn't to say just because someone has a point that it's entirely wrong just because there are flaws- I think most bad ideas, or at least good lies, have truth in them, that's what makes them believable / grounded. So often bad, but popular, points still have something in them worth paying attention to.
I often see people 11/10 manipulate and willfully misunderstand the paradox of tolerance while at the same time entirely missing the ironic opportunity for it to be used in similar format against them if they were so willing to fly past the entire quote, rather people who share it almost always use the partial as an opportunity to be intolerant even in situations that the paradox writer itself listed as times not to be intolerant lol.
Like when you watch people who are not in power asking for freedom and peace to be left as is but once in power near immediately that discussion dies and so too any sense of self-awareness as it's "it's my time now" - behaving akin to the dictatorship traits they claimed to be against moments ago (literal or just sometimes claimed).
This is very interesting and is flying way over my head I am *so* sorry. I'm glad it's here for others to read and take in, but I'm dumb as rocks.
Oh definitely! It's just hilarious (in the most sarcastic way imaginable) when people complain about the games toxicity while being extremely toxic themselves, as if theyre not part of the problem or as if they don't share the same traits.
- Some of these "forums celebrities" that plagues almost every corner with their infamy. Probably the reason why I don't engage here as often;
- Also positionals. I think it's a solid mechanic, but it is beyond frustrating to land in a group where the tank gyrates the boss for no reason... And before someone comes for me with True North, nope... True North doesn't help when he turns the enemy right before you press the button;
- "You can't do <insert thing> while in <insert thing>." menu messages... Optimally I'd just have one menu auto-closing as I open the other, but alas...
- Tokens that drop in pve encounters. They function as a sub-currency and some are unecessarily convoluted. The 8-man raid sword tokens is one of them.
- Glamour restrictions. If depended on me, when it comes to glamouring it would have DoW or DoM and job exclusive separations.
Yep. Either they're going "People have to play exactly how I like, which means wall-to-wall-to-wallx5 pulls for tanks, DPS having 100% perfect rotations, and healers doing the most DPS and healing everyone, but if DPS is doing less DPS than the healer then DPS is doign things wrong, but if Healer doesn't have the most DPS then healer is healing wrong, our runs have to be 10 minutes or less, it's someone elses fault if we wipe!" or "I want everything to be super easy, I can't personally do halatali and that's the hardest dungeon I KNOW! I wish we didn't have to play the content at all... you don't pay my sub! i just wanna walk around!" and I've yet to see an inbetween
