Is dpsing and a healer becoming the standard norm!

From their context, I took it less that it was implied that it was different before, but more that there is a possibility for it to be different.

EDIT: To elaborate, they used other games to compare - where the 'different before' was from other games, or the possibility for it to be different was using other games as a comparison.

Oh yes, we lost spectacularly. It wasn't much of a secret when I'm with the adders.
There are times I've won, I just happen to have had that one screenshot.

Another question: why does SE nerf down dps, then put up such high dps checks in raid content?

A healer dpsing has been a thing for as long as I have played. No changes and yet this topic keeps coming up. If anything it altered a little in that if you play as a WHM you're usually expected to solo heal in 8-person play. That wasn't always the case. I used to dps a lot there but now it's far riskier for me to do that.

in phase 3 you mean? Also the healing requirements are pretty damn heavy everywhere else in the fight, especially phase 1 and then after storm of words comes up in phase 3.

The thing with that fight, is the damage is incredibly predictable, so it's easy to time your DPS in at appropriate points.

There are also no dps checks until the 3rd phase so if I do bother to dps at all in phase 1 it's an aero here or there, maybe a couple of stone 3s if I'm feeling lucky. Other then that I wait for phase 3 to really start trying with dps now.

Edit I guess there's a small one in phase 2 but the dps themselves are more then capable of handling the adds and you actually have to be careful not to kill them too fast either so yeah I just hold off till phase 3.

That would work too. I think WoW took that approach with Draenor, but I didn't enjoy it that much. I felt like my heals did nothing. Some combination of both could be best. At least for my tastes.
