Community - The Most Likely Cause of the Game's Downfall

The only selfish folks here are those telling others what they do and don't need, or need to do. Need is nothing more than an opinion. Expect people to roll against you. If you lose then queue and try again No one owes any one an explanation for doing so if they choose not to explain. They have a right to remain silent. People can argue that a lower level person needs it more, or that a higher level person needs it more. It's ultimately irrelevant. The ONLY people making the community toxic are those who are trying to dictate how others should play the game, and that type of behavior often leads to insults and harassment as can be seen all over this thread. Telling another person what they do or do not need is the very epitome of selfishness. The loot system is well made and gives precedence to the those playing the jobs in the duty, after that everyone gets equal chance. This is the way the game is intended to be played and no ones owes you anything, loot, explanation, or otherwise.

Hmm. I get it, but I don't endorse it. Yeah, in our FC Events we identify if someone needs the loot over someone who wants it, but that's because we are our own community. As mentioned in some earlier posts, the people doing the same content have the same right of a chance at the lottery as anyone else, or even to need/greed on the gear. I think you're providing an unfair advantage if you're letting it play out any other way. It's kind of like in the real world, when you empower a minority over a majority (or vice versa) you create an extremely unfair situation that always causes some sort of backlack on either, or both, sides, since you're allowing differences to form and people to take sides on the opinion.

Otherwise, if you keep it fair for everyone in all situations, you'll avoid all of this conflict and simply allow luck to deal with it.

Yes, you're right, people should be considerate of others, but that rhetoric has already been expressed in a gratuitous sum. Good luck going forward, but my suggestion is building preformed parties for your content, or joining a Free Company that actually supports its players rather than doesn't care enough to help them out. If you're in duty finder, or even party finder, you already know what to expect.

This just astonishes me with the chain of thought. Why is the time that player A(who WANTS it for seals) spent doing the dungeon worth less than the time player B(Person who WANTS gear for a lower lvl job, I say WANT because if you think player A should "Suck it up" and do fates maybe player b should "Suck it up" and farm to buy gear off MB) spend doing the dungeon? Short answer its not, they both have equal rights to the gear.

LMAO.... I would rather that said WHM grind the lower level dungeons and a few raids, get better at KNOWING the rotation and mob mechanics, and adjust the play style to the end game variety. A lot of these lower level dungeons are fine tuned for level 50 gears, so your "so called under geared" healer should be able to do his/her jobs just fine. They can also run LoTA a couple of times and get decent gears then hit Syrcus Tower. Takes about one week if you play super duper casual and slowly get your gears while getting used to the change in play style.

SKILLS and KNOWLEDGE before gears... Getting everyone geared to 100 in a couple hours before they know HOW to play that said roles is a recipe for disaster. EARN it and come as the actual role where you can NEED your gears with ease.

nah i like getting gear from dungeons to trade in for seals to help towards my relic weapon and why do i care about randoms in DF that im never going to see again.

Either way you believe you are gonna get kicked so why choose to not to talk past as I stated before, you chose to make yourself just as condescending as your actions? How in the hell do you lose ANY dignity asking if you want something or asking why they rolled on it? Is that seriously the lamest answer you got? No dude, that's simply being courteous and respectful. I don't ever ask for it back if someone simply says yes and they get it, I simply get mad at RNG for a minute and move on. Not getting an answer IS getting an answer, you are right about that: It's the answer of basically showing how little of a crap you give and that's honestly being anti-social and not deserving of any respect, whether you payed or worked as hard or not.

I know you are gonna keep trying to defend this because it's your right but I'll say it one more time:
Trying to pretend that being anti-social does not make you a dick is pretty damn unacceptable. This is no "These workers worked as hard as you so give them your paycheck" routine, this is "I'm disrespecting my co-workers, acting as if I don't need to hold accountability and say whatever I want so I deserve my paycheck" time.

I don't care if I don't get my stuff from WoD, I don't care if I have to do 20+ runs of CT for a Tank set, the sheer fact you choose to be anti-social and then call ME entitled for simply asking, that right there is being condescending.
