Depends on what you got. My BiS has Eso Chest, Boots, Ring and Bracelet so I'd spend them on Bracelet or Boots but the only none 210 piece I have is pants so.
Only spells are Lethargy and Blizzard 1. I use B1 for my filler move there over T1 because there's no way an add is gonna live more than 6 seconds anyways. I do B1 the Limb on last phase all the time because it's more reliable than Miasma II miss from Scholar / Stone miss from WHM.
Whats a good BLM parse going into A4S final phase for those already there ? I cant seem to go over 1250 :X

I dont really understand how accuracy works in FFXIV as well. Back in my wow time, we had to have "hit" rating so our spells dont miss. Here I never noticed a miss message.

I can answer for you, 540 for A4S. 530 for A3S. I don't know the 2 other turns but they are pretty low. You need to hit a certain cap to hit the boss 100% of the time so it's a stat that you need more over time over a static 7,.5% Hit Rating like WoW. WoW is too simple ~.~
Just throwing this in here. A2S is around 520 and A1S is like 500. Extremely low compared to melee and tanks. Especially when you compare it to coil. Throughout coil, casters were around 20 accuracy below melee, and around 40 behind tanks. Now it's closer to 80 and 100 respectively.
For the opener, why not add T3 into the mix? So, in essence:

I realize that this opener is extremely luck dependent and failing to get a Thundercloud proc will result in a dps loss.
You can't fit 3 oGCDs in a Swiftcast spell. 2 rides the line during Leylines, you'd have to add .5s or so to your timeline.
Could go into the benefits/cons of B3 vs F1 or F3 openers, but here's by far the biggest reason B3 openers are dead weight IMO. Depending on group buff timers, long ramp up openers, at whatever benefit they may or may not bring, can be bad for 3.0 group buffs. If your DRG pops Litany on the pull, as is a common strat, you're spending about 8s of it ramping up. Heck, you may even miss a bit of TA in there. I'm sure we all know, Foe's or no Foe's, BLM on the opener with crits is some of the nastiest burst in the game, possibly the strongest if you get a few 10k crits of your 5 to 6 F4s. You don't wanna miss even one RS F4 with Litany if you can help it.
I feel as though popping group CDs on pull is bad practice because all classes have ramp up (at least 3 GCDs to put on slashing/piercing/blunt debuff? I don't play MNK or DRG but for NIN and WAR, it's 3 GCDs) and so the B3 opener shouldn't be that big of a deal, but if it's as you say, then yeah, my opener will lose out on the group buffs. Also, I adjusted my opener to have quelling and ley lines before the B3 but being on my phone and trying to put it in here makes me sad.
I came up with a new opener but a minimum of 687 Spell Speed is required as it barely leaves any room for error.

It was a sell if you can't tell from the parse already, everyone was playing it super safe other than me and we had four people on their alts in il190-195 for a one chest run. We already had a 5:30 minute clear before. In fact, if this was a normal clear and we had two jumps like we normally do, this could have easily been a 1.4k+ parse.
Ah, gotcha. It's better than I've done for sure. I'm usually blowing holes until after the first jump during the third set of adds. I struggle slightly with keeping my extremely high dps while moving the adds around and stuff, and my dps drops. I was like right at 1k this last Tuesday at i193. But I'm interested to see how it goes next reset, cause I got boots, belt + upgrade, and got Gordian ring so I'm i197 now.
As I said before, i've not had enough time to work it out, was just detailing the idea behind it. Whenever i've tried the sharpcast opener i've always been waiting for a mana tick when going into ice phase. That, and playing from EU makes some of the timing too tight.
Hmm, that's odd. I end my rotation with a swiftcast > flare > convert > fire 4 > blizz 3 > T1 > Blizz 4 and never had to wait for a tick. If I have to move more than once during that opener, I can drop the thunder for time if I need. But I have to move at least 3 times for that to happen which is rare. It's the main advantage in the sharp opener, plus if you get firestarter from your fire 1 refresh, it's just as potent as the F4x6 opener. You might be ending your rotation different than me which might be why.

today i purchased the I200 eso head piece and replaced my old i180
and for some reason i cannot do my usual 6 fire IV opener anymore as i am short on mana to cast blizzard III
and when i switch back to the old I180 head piece i can do the opener just fine
That is because UI3 reduces the mana cost of Fire 3.
I just carry around a stack of grape juice to hit 264 piety when I don't have a SCH/AST.
Quick question: Should I buy esoteric pants or not?
We are currently in A3S add phase, so on the one hand, we need every damage possible, on the other hand the pants are not far away (with luck)
I would gain 7 Int, 32 Crit, 8 Vitality
I would lose 74 det (and 60 useless accuracy)
I just don't know the stat weight.. apart vom 8 vit ... are 7 int+32 crit > 74 det?

in the 3 possible opener the one with convert flare.
If u get a F3P it could be better to use convert on 2 fire IV with swiftcast.
That could be :
Sharp+F1 > ley+eno F3P > RS+pot > F4 > F4 > F1 > F4 > F4 > F3P > convert+swiftcast > F4 > F4 > B3
IS there a tentative BiS list for blm - our blm is at a total loss at what to buy next.
