Not sure why it matters so much.

I hope you like fishing, considering the magnitude of change, that's just about all you can do. Just like everyone who jumps in to WoW and gets a free character at cap (close to), all they can do is fish, because they as sure as hell can't do much else..

I was awarded the status on 05/08/12. I signed up in Feb after seeing the legacy post. As of matter of fact I paid for the 6 month deal just so I'd be sure that I would get it.
SE gave gamers from January till the end of 1.0 to get Legacy. They gave us about 9 months to get the status. Don't cry now because you didn't have $30 to pay for 3 months. Besides the only big thing is the reduce monthly fee . Any one can get a Chocobo and the credit name thing is no big deal. And entry into the 1st phase beta~ well it's a beta.

well the game was out for 2 years and you didnt pay for 3 months only your fault.

I didnt really want to post anything about this but it is kind if irritating, so your telling me you paid more then me cause you paid 13 dollars for the game and 30 dollars for 3 months.....
I bought the CE was registered in 2010 played through the pain A True legacy player hitting 30 with a char was like getting 4 50's up now.
To finish the story and my example i had to go overseas in the military came back paid from Sep till the end and missed out by a few weeks.
Now i Paid what almost 100 for CE and 2mo's of sub and played the game when it truly sucked but your a Legacy player,
Justify your delusions somewhere else....

I don't think someone is more deserving than another of a Legacy status. It was a limited time offer and some people weren't there to get it. Promotions are always unfair for those who missed it.

Thanks all I was not trying to complain about it like that, however I wanted others to realize not to generalize due to unknown variables. Thanks again..

And you couldn't have had some arrangement to pay the 3 consecutive months? There WERE ways to solve your problem. Sorry dude.
