I'm in! I've leveled other jobs by changing jobs inside a Frontline and doing Wondrous Tales, I can do it again. SMN takes care of SCH leveling and then it's just 3 other jobs. You will not see me heal another dungeon until this is fixed.
So sick of healers being garbage while tanks and dps get more and more healing skills every expansion.

Wait until 7.2 is not acceptable. It should have been the first order of business, ready to go for media tour. "We have heard your feedback about tanks and healers and adjusted encounters accordingly." It's been years. Again, 7.2 is simply not acceptable from a team a. Known to lie and b. Currently dumbing jobs down even moreso.
And it's not just a problem for healers either. It's boring for any role with any slight idea of what they are doing.
A coordinated strike does not require a majority. It only requires the bare minimum that it would take to make an impact on the game overall. A coordinated strike would not even need healers who only do normal mode content to participate, only the healers who do EX and above. So the numbers would not be in the millions. I believe the approximate figure is between 2-5% of subscribers do content EX and above? This would need to be confirmed by someone, but whatever it is, roughly 25-40% of those players would need to strike. It would reduce clears so drastically due to lack of participation, and forcing players who normally do not heal to heal in order to obtain clears in EX, Savage, and Ultimate that the dev team would have no choice but to address the problem in one way or another.
Also, healers can still level them up. By all means utilize and exploit all the systems this game has implemented to facilitate single player playability.
Other than that, I agree completely. I am already going to update my sig and adventurer plate in support of a petition for a strike. I see no reason to wait for 7.2 to get this off the ground. Start now, go hard, and be unwavering.
Remember when they speed nerfed Smn’s Titan-egi due to it invalidating an entire role for a single fight.
I remember, so why are healers allowed to be invalidated so much for far more content SE?
RPGs have had skill checks, Final Fantasy has had boss skill checks in their games, XIV should too, and for content going to level 100 yeah normal shit should have skill checks, not high ones but at least enough to even warrant the holy trinity of Tank/Healer/DPS, to do otherwise is a fundamental design failure.
