Oh I forgot you did. Point was that you two are similar. But that's not the point of the thread's point so no point in talking about it.
In the end I'm just a new player anyway.

Do you know how easy it is when you give your levels, as well as having ALL OF YOUR ALTS in the same FC?
Sorry I don't appreciate people lying left and right while insulting people and trying to hide behind an anon face and state they were posting for someone else.
The information is there for anyone to find. You just confirmed it by posting the 'levels for the person you were posting for'.
The only person being insulted here is me. This would never had happened if I was not being insulted for saying 8 retainers is not enough and still have inventory issues because the game has too many items. That should tell you something when I sit here and do a limited number of crafts, and not all of them, off 8 retainers. We need a glam log most of all, plain and simple, you should not be playing detective and trying to put me on the spotlight for trying to ask for improvements, now that is on YOU for being the insulting one. So I do not appreciate you treating me in this manner. Also I am not lying about anything, yet another insult.
Also Ill be sure to talk to a GM to see if there are privacy issues breaches just because "all the information is there"
It is worrying ...
Sorry, but you just aren't listening to what I am saying.
My definition of omnicrafter is simply you have all crafts at 70. The majority of the recipes do not need specialist so simply put I can craft 95% of the items from every crafter type on one character.
For example, I mean someone who makes say 10 items regularly from each crafter type: why does it matter if they are specialist recipes or not?
I was pointing out that being a specialist doesn't mean anything when it comes to space. You could take up tons of space just for normal non specialist recipes.
This is just an example...
Person A crafts 10 normal recipes from each crafter type regularly to sell
Person B crafts 5 normal recipes and 5 specialist recipes from each crafter type regularly to sell
What's the difference? Some recipes take a lot of mats no matter if it is specialty or not. Space is the problem right? So even a non specialist omnicrafter can have a lot of mats taking up space.
Where did I say I use 9 retainers? You are just assuming things now. I only use 3 like I said I do. My alt retainer only has my alts leveling gear etc on it. I don't store things on alts because transferring items back and forth is annoying.
I never said I craft more than you, but you have more than double my space and I have a lot of mats and craft often as well. To me it seems impossible that you aren't holding onto just too many things at once. I mean like I said before more space is great and I am not against it, but you really are an extreme case so I don't know if SE would do anything unless you can rally together a lot of other players who are in the same situation as you where they have 8 retainers and alts and still have no space left.
Well at least I tried :/
Have we officially changed the topic of this thread to "What is an omnicrafter?"?
Also, what are these privacy breaches that keep getting brought up? They sound fun.
I dont think we need more space per se, just smarter storage like most every other game in existence has, glam log, crafter/gather storage.
I do agree somewhat with the OP in the omicrafter debate as Ive always defined that as being totally self sufficient, ie, never using the auction house for any items, and in that case, it is as close to impossible as you will ever get with 1 character. I say close because if you were some kind of masochist, you could go out and gather all the steps then shuffle through all your jobs to make up all the ingredients as you made each item, but I highly doubt there would be enough hours in the day. ;)
If youre big on the crafting game, your storage is bulging at the seam and every slot is treated as pure gold. :p
this is starting to dissolve into personal attacks and fingerpointing.
I agree we do not have enough space.
I mostly think it's because of glamours.
Some of it is item bloat but the only crafting I see with a huge problem is culinarian. More currencies could be swapped to the wallet as well : boss tokens and such.
howbout we keep "my characters blah blah" and "your characters blah blah" out of it?
Oook. Wow. I've only read up to page 12 so far, but this is ridiculous. OP's constant and rather annoying habit of lodestone checking EVERYONE who disagrees with them is petty and tedious at best...but hey go ahead and search mine while you're at it.
I have to admit I'm in awe....people claim they have EIGHT retainers and still run out of space...and claim it's from crafting? Gonna call that out as false right now. I have every crafting and gathering class at 70, and spend well over 3/4 my time in game doing both. It's my main passion in this game. I have eight retainers as well...but not for storage. I send them on ventures to hunt while I go out and mine/chop/fish. Of my 8 retainers, three of them are full. One of those is full of ventures (which now that I think of it, I need to convert). One is half full of materia, the other half has level 61-70 crafting materials. The last one has glamour/old heavensward materials that I've honestly been too lazy to clean out. So....minus the one full of ventures and old heavensward materials...I've got one retainer full with another one at half...and I'm a prolific omnicrafter/gatherer.
Oh, and before you nitpick, I also have a house, so yes I craft those materials as well.
Frankly, I highly, HIGHLY doubt that even 3 retainers are full of materials. I can almost guarantee that the vast majority of the space taken up is due to....glamour. Which is absolutely ridiculous. The only glamour items I keep are those of high value and/or rarity, such as ex weapons, raid gear, ect. Everything else that can easily be crafted/found again? Toss. I'm not seeing the problem here....then again I don't change glamour every hour, so maybe that's just me.
No Aarik, you don't understand. You aren't an OMNI crafter, so you have no say in this according to the OP. You have to meet their criteria first before you can have any meaningful opinions on the matter, unless you agree with them, then its ok.
