XI didn't flop.

You know what game did flop that was heavily fantasy? Tera. It continues to fall below not only expectations, but financially to this day and that's a highly fantasy game.

did you hear that En Masse is actually NERFING PVP AND LEVELING!? (Making leveling easier than it already was) Why would a company make leveling even easier if they are losing players for a game that isn't out yet? Not only that, but they're actually getting rid of the politics aspect too... and the people who voice their opinions about these drastic changes are being banned from the forums. :x (Yea, they're actually being banned for voicing their concerns)

Ifrit drops are ok, only problems i have is

1)if they continue to make all weapons into similar style, need to make unique items different from normal weapons, also if they already give us these stylish overly done weapons, what are they gonna give us when level cap rises? increase size and glowliness?.

2)Size of the Weapons should be proportion to the Body size of the wielder. Fantasy is different from retardedness.


Also FFXI had some share of its huge weapons... GS esp Algol, lot of GAs and scythes. Btw to FFXI haters, whether you like it or not, its perfectly normal to compare FFXI to FFXIV, both are FF and MMORPG. Some can even say the reason FFXIV is in this state is because it didn't compare itself to FFXI when it was made.

Those were some of my thoughts as well. We are not always going to be capped at rank 50.

Also completely agree with the size of weapon should match size of character. :)

Yeah otherwise Lalafell archers are gonna have some real bad problems with that bow...

Could we stop using Wow weapons and armor as the boogyman in this thread?

There is a certain game series out there that yoshi is a big fan of that is a far far worse offender when it comes to ridiculous weapons and armor

I like the Ifrit style. I think of them as items similar to the items from the avatar battles in XI. I am sure each primal battle will have themed weapons for their respective element. I can't imagine them applying the style everywhere with every weapon because that would make these less than unique, which I'm sure is one of their goals - to make these unique to their primals.

The only weapon I find even close to questionable is the bow. That thing is waaaaaaaaaaaay too bulky, it's just obnoxious.

No one has to worry about crazy WoW weapons or whatever. Go back and look at weapons/armor from any Akihiko Yoshida art. Thats what you should expect here. Even XII had its share of strange weapons from what I remember.

I love the weapons. I feel they fit with the Primal I am killing. The size is ok. Ifrit is huge. This is just my opinion

Some of the weapons look good, and some are over the top. I would never use that bow on my Archer. I like the visual style of the game, but some character style elements of X, X-2, and XIII would be a welcome addition. Admittedly Payne's hair is an option in character creation.
