What's your first impression of Eureka?

Except the high levels who don't want to raise you every 20 seconds during a NM (or they could just leave you on the ground true) , have some low level completely leeching off of them that has to run EVERYWHERE when they could have another 20 they wouldn't have to worry about who'd actually help with wraiths.

It's true there are solutions for low levels , but the problem is they depend on the altruism of players and not the design of the game.... or make a healer and promise to raise everyone.

I will repeat : the fact that everyone has found a circumvention of the original design intent of eureka is not a positive for the content, it's a negative. Telling lowbies who are late to the party that they just need to suck it up and make their own parties is ignoring a glaring omission by the designers of the content.

If someone says "hey my experience is this" , telling them "you're not trying hard enough" is pretty close minded.

This is all I need to read to know that you have never walked into Eureka ever. The one thing it has accomplished better than every other shred of content in this game, the exact element you dismiss, is that it has brought out the best side of everyone who's inside. I reiterate, the NA meta is designed, intentionally, so that nobody is left behind ever. There are so many contingencies in place now to prevent even the slightest amount of toxicity and bad behavior, to ensure nobody gets penalized by the system, to ensure everyone gets in on the trains, you really cannot convince anybody who has actually spent any amount of time greater than 0 in there that this isn't the case.

If you really cannot strive to be a better person in Eureka, then it is not welcoming to you. And if you cannot bring yourself to extend a friendly hand to other players, then this content is not for you either.

Interesting, my experiences in Eureka is high levels do not mind low levels to leech.
People are willing to rez the fallen despite of their level.
All you need to do is to step into Eureka and yell lfg, you will get an invite.
NM train does not care about the level.

Unless, you rode the wave of initial players and were part of the zerg that NM smashed constantly, Then welcome to the 20 family.
It's great you know me so well, and are so sure of my progress. I'm level 15 right now, and have most of the neat drops: Mithra pet, strider boots, emperor pin. I'm saving my 700+ lockboxes for after the drop change. But by all means keep trying to attack me personally instead of having a rational discussion about a game element.

The meta was NOT designed, it emerged. People figured it out. SE's intention was for parties to roam around, chaining enemies for xp and killing the NM's that those chains spawned. Long steady progression followed by small lumps of XP to break up the monotony (they stated it was a long grind). Credit due to the people who found the triggering mechanics and then found it was more expedient and less hand cramping to simply zerg the NM's one by one. 24 hours of it and done.

Eureka INTRODUCED toxicity back into the game. Training monsters over someone was a possibility, though rare in the overworld but beyond a minor inconvenience it wasn't widespread because it offered no real threat. NOW? XP loss, loss of contribution to an NM. These are realities and people have to be reported for this NEWLY REINTRODUCED problem. High levels will intentionally drag trash into the cowering healers on the side JUST to wipe them because "damn leeches" need to be shown. I've been in eureka for a decent amount and have seen all of this. This isn't the Utopia you describe.

There are problems and ignoring the bad because you like some of it is doing yourself and the fellow players you seem to think are so deserving disservice. If you truly want to help your fellow player think about how there are people who aren't doing this content because it's such a slow start and crazy threatening. Imagine what will happen to the level 1 who jumps into the content 2 months from now.

That's great, and I hope that continues. But wouldn't it be nice if you DIDN'T have to yell? If you could queue up and be put in a party and everyone could get xp and contribute at the same level? I know that'd be more fun for me and many others who have had different experiences than you. I won't deny that most of the NM trains I've eventually ended up in did not care, and the resurrections are freely flowing. But why do I have to stand there like a blob , or hit stuff and do double digits? Why does the elemental wheel even matter when I'm healing to add to contribution or res-ing to be valuable? What happens when people are all maxxed and the only NM they want is Pazuzu?

The pro-eureka people are seeing negative feedback as an affront and I'm not sure why. It's great you liked the content, but there are people who want to participate if only certain things weren't so needlessly frustrating.

is having ONLY a positive effect? There is a difference of liking something and liking something so much it makes you blind. It is one thing to say there is a general more positive social behavior there compared to other content and saying there is only positive impacts. You also have to consider the objective. People are not hard pressed to be focused and doing your best vs in dungeons, it is you and 3 other people so what one person does matters more. So some people will have a higher importance on how one acts and what point it is considered rude for some sort of variance of "slacking off"

It is open world content, no one cares because there is no pressure, of course people are going to be more friendly in general, has nothing to do with the content itself. You are acting like SE planned getting people help each other more and deserves praise, why give such Post hoc ergo propter hoc fallacy?

"haters gonna hate" is empty and does not give reasoning of proof for anything.

If that was not the intent, that's great! But the discussion should be kept to the content and it's experiences, not implying lack of knowledge or experience or skill or empathy.

I'm 20 now and I've already had to tell multiple friends that are 8 or under that I flatout can't really help them level because partying with me will bomb their exp and I don't have a two seater mount to cart them around with. It just kinda makes me not want to go in at all anymore because I hate turning them down.

For chain parties yeah it matters, for NM pops no it doesn't matter. If you want to help with chain parties you can always heal them outside of the party, I know it's not much but at least it's something..alternatively you can delevel to 12-13? when they get that high and level with them again lol.

I've been asked for both. If they can't ride a mount or teleport it's next to impossible for them to actually make the NMs in time and missing a bunch in a row is just frustrating for them.

I'm not deleveling because I worked really hard on my own progress and it'd keep me from going in by myself to scout out the fairy to help other groups.

SE needs to add a level sync and the lack of one is a huge problem for latecomers.
