Sell Fantasia on the Mogstation

Fantasia's need to be available for purchase, whether in game or a cash shop, I don't care.

P.S. Fantasia should give a free name change. :D

I'd support this, to be honest. It has nothing to do with F2P methods at all. EVERY other MMO I have ever played, regardless of subscription, F2P or P2P, has given options to purchase something of a change in your character's look and name.

In my case, I have a unique situation where I'd happily fork out the cash for a name change. When first introduced to FF XIV, it was new and very unclear to me the way character leveling is. I joined FF XIV because of M'Lady. So I created a solo main with the name I use in every other MMO I play and another character to level strictly with her. THAT character became my main and I quickly discovered the advantages of the games methods to leveling all classes on one character.

So after getting multiple classes leveled into their 30's and my main class into the 40's thus far, I'd be far more eager to delete the other character and transfer that name to my main character. It's perfectly acceptable and a good marketing request.

I would buy a fantasia right now if I could, but how about maybe one now as nice token of appreciation for all the maintenance and down time. :P

But seriously please please please do not wait till 2.1 for this, I'd gladly pay you guys.

I think this would be a good option, but I'd also be willing to pay for it. Used my first fantasia to make changes and now I want to change some things back.

Have done my Coil / Myth for the week and a bit of gathering. Probably wont login until next Monday as I dislike looking at my char.

Sadly for me I already used mine roughly 2 months again and now I want to change
what my character looks like, I asked support but they couldn't help me at all.
I'm a new player of this game and I think I was too quick to try it and now kind of regretting it.
I wish it was possible to get another but idk if people could give away or offer up their Fantasia potion.

Yes, they mentioned that about the time of the last letter from the producer or what ever. We know it's in talks, but there is a demand and the longer it takes to be implemented the more frustrated those who do want to change become. I really like FFXIV but I'm hoping they do not do what Defiance, TSW, and other mmos have by promising something and taking way to long to deliver on it, because that is going to drive people away.

But we've got solid info now which is nice. Just hope it's not /too/ far away.

I called a GM about using my 1 time item restoral on the Fantasia also. They said they are investigating it... and if I get it, it will count towards my 1 time item restoral. I'm just a little miffed because my friend called a GM and got his restored under the same circumstances within 3 days. I've been waiting a week already. They even sent me the same email about if I enjoyed their customer service. Give me the service first! Then maybe you will get some positive feedback!!! Been a paying/playing FF MMO customer for many years. Never used this before, probably called a GM 4 times in the last 6 years up until now. I'm really upset over this, I could make a new character and get her to 50 +relic in the time it will take for 2.1 to be released. I'm not using this messed up appearance for another 2 months just cause SE is stingy with their Fantasias.

Yes, no problem there. I'd just rather keep the thread alive even if they did respond, maybe someone of importance might see it and this is one means of players voices (although admittedly mostly annoying). But they have the phials, they have a means to give them to us. It just seems like a simple thing to throw in one day and wont take away too much time for the other things.

I still check daily just to see if they maybe threw it in as a ninja add.

You have to talk to them again. Ask if they are still looking at it.
Then they will shimmy it up so they can get to it faster.

I contacted them in-game, and used the support-desk's reply function, only took an hour to get a response.
(to which they immediatley closed it, before I could respond)

Still waiting for GM to get back to me!

I just asked them to take another look at mine 2 days ago. Heres to hoping my 10+ days of groveling has paid off lol

Ignore it. That happened to me too, and I sent another one.
They replied to it and the next one...I think it's a bug.

Been poking the GMs with a reply or a new ticket every other day. Sent in the original request on the morning of November 1st. It's the night of the 6th now, have 3-4 replies out of my 4-5 pokes. The last two (since about 3 days ago) have been the same auto-response: "We know you are anxious to have the Phial of Fantasia and apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused... We have escalated your request and it is still being investigated...etc. etc." My friend who was a GM for private FFXI servers (He doesn't anymore) laughs at my suffering and points out it takes 20 seconds for a GM to drop almost any item into a player's inventory... I just don't know what to do anymore, are they just messing with me? Are they purposely holding back on fantasia restorations until closer to when barber shop comes out to see if people retract their requests for restoration? It's not even like Fantasia are going to effect game balance, it's a cosmetic item...

Exactly. The dev said that the team is "still discussing", implying it's already been talking about it prior to his response 12 working days ago. What is there to discuss about or do for so long? I can understand needing time for implementing new elements of game play, content, code writing, and given project work time. But everything is in place already for it to be made available on the MogStation except for maybe a jpg image and a form to select which character to send it too.

There is no need to wait on implementing this until 2.1 or when ever. It just seems like SquareEnix doesn't care about making money at all ... they wouldn't go ahead and charge for a subscription for a phial until all free time is up, they haven't released the time cards in NA, and a feature that is pretty common in games now of days is still being discussed. (Not talking about a cash shop, just character services.)

Coming from FFXI and expecting things from SE, I generally take the stance of always expecting the worst possible service/outcome. At least that way I can on rare occasions be pleasantly surprised... However on this topic, I really want to see a solid answer sooner than later. I want to know when we can expect this service to be obtainable, and for some people with characters that have low to medium investment, they might be happier off rerolling if this service is to be added say 9 months from now.

Soooo yeah. Bump this thread to the top hourly for the little good it will actually do. Anything for the glimmer of hope that we will get a solid answer sooner than later.

I really think one Fantasia should be given free every 2 months. If we're playing all classes on the same character, most of us want to be able to change our look now and again

There's a process to go through, it isn't that quick sadly. Otherwise they'd get almost everything they do completed 5 times quicker than they currently do.

We won't be seeing this for a quite a while, (If even via the mog-station).
It could even be another Veterans Reward again for 210= days.

If it wasn't a legacy character and if mythology wasn't capped so slow, i'd probably re-roll or make an alt yes.

It really shouldnt be a process when most MMOs are coming out with the service nowadays...
