This is ideal but sadly they've fallen into this mindset that everything in a tier needs to require or take the same amount of time as getting a full set of gear from either tomes or progression raiding and it's just... wrong.

The only way I could imagine there being something more is if there's a wealth of obscure NM triggers at low-mid levels that nobody's been able to find. Somehow, I doubt it. We've seen everything there is in the map and gone everywhere there is to go, and honestly, even if there was more - what would the point be of hiding it so deep? This isn't a brand new game, it doesn't take 5 hours to acclimate to how to play the 'grind in a corner' game.
This is somehow the worst of both worlds - a deep grind could be okay if it had any nuance or interesting mechanics to it, but this isn't that kind of game. There's nothing to keep you occupied, really.
For anyone used to spend lots of time on those korean mmo where you shout in chat LFG and form a party enough to blast AoEs left and right at the open world mobs, Eureka is pretty much like that. I have yet to explore the map fully to see if the place has more to offer but of course first I need to grind tons just to do that.
Months of delays and it turns out it's even more flaccid, lazy, and thoughtless than Diadem. Amazing.
They were because they gave you variety.
This is literally killing the same overworld mob over and over again.
There's no challenge. No variety. There's no fun.
People don't realise the grind isn't the issue. It's a relic weapon. It's gonna be a grind.
But at least previous relic grinds had some variety to it.
You know what the scariest part is? The entire relic chains is going to be connected to Eureka and Eureka only. Hope you're ready to grind more Protean/Anemos Crystals for your future relic steps.
Its really nice, a place where you could play with your FC and feel the atmosphere of the old mmorpg playstyle. Its the place where you could play all together.
I like it.
Having played this for about 2 hours:
- Wow, old school zerging where people just come in and killsteal (oh, ok, each mob is worth 50exp at level 1, 40exp if you're level 2), so the zergs just run over everything, and you get nothing or just 1 or 2 exp for that one shot you managed to fire off.
- Either the damage is too low, or the exp is too low. Yeah I know this is probably another ridiculous spirit-weapon/relic type of timesink, but for the amount of time required to sink into this, this feels a bit insulting.
- No drops from anything.
It doesn't, the hardest monster I found was level 23 over to the WEST caverns.
