Can't forget about Ultimate, the next fight for which is scheduled for 4.3 and they'd ideally want to release another every odd patch from now. Also more elaborate MSQ solo duties and, apparently, the glamour toilet. Those were named explicitly, so you can point fingers here.Quote:

03-12-2018, 05:22 AMVoltyblastUltimate is a fight that less than 1% of the entire player base will attempt, especially when content will become obsolete when the new one arrives a few months afterward, so I'm not sure what are you trying to imply here.Quote:

Again, it takes effort to make content that lasts long.
More elaborate MSQ seems good until you forget that they're a one time affair that once done, it's done forever, which is kind of a shame because there is main quest scenario roulette, and yet we only got two fights so far. You could fill the bloody thing with all sorts of solo and mini fights to "relive" them important msq scenes but nope, just castrum and Praetorium. And I'm sure people got sick and tired of doing them.
And glamour "toilet"...oh right, thanks for reminding because, while a nice addition, it only allows 200 items for now. I don't follow the forums (I've only returned for a month, been off since 4.1) but how are they going to be expanded? I only ask because, before the release of the dresser, the only way to keep their glamour was through Retainers, and retainers only have so much space: it was their gimmick for forcing us to rent more space. Now that the need is gone, how's gonna be done? If you know I'd like to know it too. And no, your link doesn't explain it because "The changes are so gigantic that it would probably take an hour to explain everything. If we were to discuss it even partially, it would just be the tip of the iceberg anyway[...]
Do I have to say more? Sure, how about hunts still being as obsolete and basically the same since 2.3? No innovation, no improvement, same fluff: nobody does it anymore because it's a bore. What about any improvements of FATEs and how trash they currently are? Not that they were any good from the start, but you'd think that some improvements would be done eventually - and no Square Enix, an exp boost is not a fix. Or how about all these giant, big and great ares are still void of actual content to do? Why not add world bosses? Why not add new stuff in them? Why not make these big worlds riddled with content? They are void and pointless and this was also back in HW mind you. ARR zones were small but were much more filled with content (for the time at least), so how about stuff like that?
And please, save yourself from telling me "then don't play the game if you don't like it", because in 2 weeks I'm gone anyway. -
03-12-2018, 05:27 AMZojhaWell it hasn't been attacked in the first place, duh. I've just elaborated on it.Quote:

Thanks for commenting on a quote I edited out to make my point clearer...I forgot how nice this community was: you truly are the beacon of hope I was looking for.
By all means, enjoy your 24-48 hour content. I'm done here. -
03-12-2018, 05:30 AMMoomba33This is another worry I have. With how far back part 1 of Eureka was pushed back I wonder how soon we'll see the new PotD or all the planned Euraka updates.Quote:

Not really sure that they'll make us go back to level one for the new potd especially if it's in a SB zone, frankly the levelling up aspect of the place is a red herring for the aetherpool power farming since after you unlock 51+ you prefer doing that over the others, which means you don't really touch that part ever if you are going for 200 floors.
What will happen to the old one once the new one comes it'll depend if unique rewards from it will remain obtainable only from potd or not, besides you can solo most of the place anyway with the sustain potions so in a way the needing of a group isn't as required.
And who knows maybe they'll also increase the cap of aetherpool gear too -
03-12-2018, 05:51 AMCosmicKirbyThey were booming for quite a while during QoL and ease of grinding changes were being made. Old school massive time sinks, insanely long term goals, and grinding are an acquired taste that's certainly fallen out of favor for many.Quote:

I don't go to the forums of games I heavily dislike and request they change the game to fit my tastes, I don't know why people feel that its ok to do that because its a FF title, and that somehow makes it different.
The only reason content in other games lasts "longer than 24-48 hours" is either loot lockouts, which we have here, entrance lockouts, which we no longer have here, and drop rates, which, as everyone already complained about int he atma stage, is RNG based, and people hate that with a passion.
Making older content relevant just makes it to where there is no reason to do newer content, since the rewards are equal. If they start adding interesting substats to items, then gear becomes required. Maybe they can do it in a way that doesn't suck, but this "community" always seems to think anything the dev's try differently will inherently fail (see Eureka) so I don't know why they seem to think the devs could make interesting stats work. Its a bit of a paradox to me. -
03-12-2018, 06:33 AMAyer2015You do realize the majority of people I come across in game voice frustrations over the content 4.x has brought right? This is far from a minority of people....Quote:
