In my runs I had the exact amount of time needed to build 5 stacks, there was no sitting and waiting for MB. If you are late by one it throws the whole thing off. I got it a few times, just not consistently, enough people complain about wiping once - it's not gonna be because I didn't get Inner Beast off in time lol.. I guess I could be more liberal with CDs, still learning the fight though, only got as far as first super bomb

My group swaps after 3 stacks also as we just find it makes it easier timing wise, swap everytime he cocks his leg up and at the end of each cycle when bombs appear everywhere.

I actually find it alot easier to tank it on WAR then PLD once you have the timing down. You can inner beast every mountain buster easily and once you have 5 stack you know that mountain buster is about to come, use IB after every second move he does if that makes sense, mountain buster > another move > another move > IB > mountain buster. Obviously you should be keeping storms path up also, just cycle storms path > butchers > repeat

For the first MB use IB, 2nd use thrill of battle + IB, 3rd use vengance + IB. With vengance+IB+SP and normally rage of halone if you are with a pld the 3rd stack MB will only do about 2.8k dmg i think from memory, you shouldnt drop below 50% as long as the healers are keeping you topped off.

try to stagger foresight > featherfoot > bloodbath for abit of mitigation over the duration you are holding hate.

The -30 vit from point allotment shouldn't matter, I normally tank with crafted accessories (-25vit) for quicker kills during sell runs.

I appreciate the great info here! I've played a PLD from the start but have been leveling a WAR for flexibility. I learned a lot here and I am anxious to put it in practice in coil. Thank you.

No rotation. Just mark a kill order and use two or three overpowers. Then switch to the skull sunder combo with the occasional flash. For single target, don't try to keep up maim or fracture until you get defiance. Just spam that SS combo and hope the bards don't get too many crits.

Hi, awesome guide, it's helped me so much to get the hang of my rotations and getting a hang of how the class works in general.

Though in your single target rotation
T - Heavy Swing(Foresight) - Skull Sunder(Bloodbath) - Butcher's Block - Heavy Swing - Maim - Storm's Eye(Berserk) - Heavy Swing(Unchained) - Skull Sunder(Internal Release) - Butcher's Block - SPcombo

I found after experimenting with it that if you pop vengeance on the 2nd heavy swing,, then pop unchained before berserk and have berserk pop on the 3rd heavy swing you'll have enough stacks of wrath to shoot off an inner beast after the SPcombo,having Inner Beast benefit from berserk's 50% dmg buff

Like so

T - Heavy Swing(Foresight) - Skull Sunder(Bloodbath) - Butcher's Block - Heavy Swing(Vengeance) - Maim - Storm's Eye(Unchained) - Heavy Swing(Berserk) - Skull Sunder(Internal Release) - Butcher's Block -*SPcombo - Inner Beast

I am new to forum contribution and I honestly tried to find a more appropriate thread for this, sorry!

Mouse / keyboard HIGHLY specific and technical query.
I will write out the scenario:

- Shift is bound to mouse-side-button.
- I am L&R clicking, therefore I am running while simultaneously turning character and camera.
- VIA KEYBOARD all hotkeys and modifiers are fully functional.
- While running (and turning the camera) with L&R click, I can use the keyboard's shift-modifier to use abilities on a target.
- while running (and turning the camera) with L&R click, I CAN NOT use the mouse's shift-modifier, as it reverts back to Un-modified hotkey.
- while running (and NOT turning the character or camera) with L&R click, I CAN use the mouse's shift-modifier to use abilities.
