Actually I can, since my words were exactly "likely most of them" which means not all. Nice try, though. lol
Man, people STILL attacking this guy? It's like they just want to for the sake of doing it. We get it, you don't agree with him. Yet you still attack him, try to say his opinion, a well thought out one I might add, is "wrong". When you debate opinion vs opinion, you don't start flinging mud in an attempt to scare away or change the opinion of your opposition, it just makes you look childish.
When they took your last payment for 1.0, you ceased to be a customer in fact. At best we're prospective customers for ARR. I mean, I haven't paid a dime for it yet and if ever I thought they were making the abortion that was 1.0 launch, they'd never get that dime. They're hoping we continue to play their game, so they're trying to make a good product (I guess) but until we've paid up, to me we aren't customers.
Yeah, but this isn't a finished product or anything. Getting all up in arms over nothing makes you look like a child who can't control their emotions. You're mad because you can't play? Show a little class and go about demonstrating that in a mature way. The reason I mentioned how they have nuts in a vicegrip is because when you give yourself to a company so easily (ie: you're a sure thing) they can pretty much assume you'll take the heat and still be there to stay. You think that moving on or accepting it suggests a rather cavalier attitude about customer/company relations, but the truth is that we can only do so much. Since we don't pay yet, it's not like we can say that we don't support this therefore we're not giving more money.
We can play the game. We can provide our feedback. That's really it. Since this IS just alpha, I say we need not start a crusade for justice and equality. If you're Joan of Arc on this one, I think you're just going to get burned at the stake.
Patience is indeed a virtue. Wait for it.
I know exaggeration very well, as much as I know that it determines the fact that your arguments are just strawman arguments and as such, completely void. Again, when you'll be able to counter my points, and not your imaginary version of them, do come back.
Oh really? where did I? DO quote me, please. Wait. I didn't.Quote:
Also, seeing as how you compared yourself not getting into alpha to the sinking of the titanic
Are you getting so desperate that you're moving from exaggeration and strawman arguments to plain falsehood and lies?
The rest is just another chain of petty personal attacks. So I'll refrain commenting on it. Unfortunately for you, you can't talk for everyone (as much as you'd like to). Let me quote:
It's quite obvious that there are people that appreciate my posts, and that alone makes the insults of a few misguided individuals that can't express a concept without personal attacks absolutely void of any value in comparison.
To put it down simply, all the virtual ink you waste to insult me is just that, a waste, and it makes you look none the better.
Why, thank you.
The service hasn't been interrupted (this very forum is part of that service) and the company waived payment unilaterally. This means we're still customers.
I sadly withdraw my remark about your ability to make a counterpoint without personal attacks.Quote:

Exactly. And I'm doing exactly that much. Offering criticism.Quote:
truth is that we can only do so much.
I'm not insulting, attacking, holding anyone at gunpoint, placing bombs on the lawn of SE's offices, threatening to ragequit. I'm just offering criticism, which is, mind you, my prerogative.
Can't attack the opinion itself. Attack the person. Old and trite forum trick.
I wasn't at first. I simply stated at the beginning that just because he didn't get into alpha doesn't necessarily mean he's been slighted or mistreated. He started to insist he was. I still insisted he didn't. He got ticked off, and started accusing people of "attacking him" and that people who disagreed with him were merely "fanboys of SE/Yoshi". I started laughing at him for it. He QQed and ranted some more. I laughed some more. It's a strange relationship, me and Abby have. lol
Then you didn't really understand what he was saying and assumed he was making the argument based on not getting accepted. You insisting that's the reason is just an assumption. And continually doing it can be seen as an attack. Because you're basically calling him a liar when you have no proof of such.
