itd be nice if that was the case, i guess we will find out shortly when people are actualy able to finish the quest and start a new version of it

Oh... that's interesting. So they're technically not implemented yet? I thought by saying that the quest will be expanded upon in the future, they meant that you could get the weapons now and upgrade them to a certain extent, but there will still be more to come.
yeah, if you read the patch notes whats its basicaly telling us is we can progress in the quest to gfet them but not complete it yet
thatl be in the next patch(the idea i think was to get everything confirmed on how it worked, so we can start working on them while they finish it up since it will in fact take so much work to do them)
We'll know more by this weekend, we have several on the mythril step now.
No speed run required, it's an extra chest at the end that everyone can see, but only people on the quest can get drops from it. As far as drop rate, to be continued...
Cool, thanks.. working on the last few seals.. x_x
Still no info about pld's relic quest? Which materia?
You have to kill your particular stronghold boss, and turn in the weapon to get to the AV step. We're pretty sure you need 3 drops in AV then 3 in CC, but haven't confirmed that yet. So far every class weapon has required AV first, and we have 5 different ones now so it's safe to assume they all do.
Alright, I made my double meld Astrolabe. Before I turn this in, I wanted to ask this.
I know during one of trials he asks you to bring a class specific weapon. Does the NPC take the weapon away from you after you talk to him and -then- asks you to get another to double meld... oooor does he just tell you to double meld the one that you presented to him?
If anyone can shed some light on this, that would be great! I just don't want to goof after making this weapon.
So you need to bring a weapon without meld and then one with meld?
It's what that guy asked.
I guess to simplify what I was asking is, does the NPC ask for two class specific weapons? One unmelded and then asks for another, only the next being double melded. Sorry for the confusion.
So still no confirmation as to PLD materia? The only ones that can be socketed are STR, VIT, DEX, MND, Heaven's Eye, Battledance or Touch of Rage. Given the stats of Curtana, I think it could be wither Vitality (blade gives HP), Heaven's Eye (blade has accuracy) or Mind (blade has Healing magic potency and chance to restore MP)
Mailbreaker (PLD) is Heaven's Eye materia.
Providing 2 jobs the same materia for their relic is in poor taste.
Can we get a screenshot for validation? I was hoping it would be Vitality!
VIT makes better sense than Accuracy.
Warrior, 2 perfect Rage IVs = 50 enmity. That's on Bravura.
Monk, 2 perfect Mana IVs = 70 MP. That's on Spharai.
Black Mage, 2 perfect Hell's Fist IV = 30 AMP. That's on Stardust.
Dragoon, 2 perfect Savage Might IV = 100 CHAP. That's on Gae Bolg.
Bard, 2 perfect Heaven's Eye = 40 Accuracy. That's on Artemis.
Paladin (Supposedly), 2 perfect Heaven's Eye = 40 Accuracy. That's on Curtana.
White mage is the only one that breaks this pattern that we know of, since MND is the only thing you can meld on CNJ 2h and that's at 60, instead of 40. Even that could be a mistake in the dats? 6/7 ain't bad. Yes, I know the materia doesn't have to be perfect, but the point is the quest line is about building the weapon step by step, not pleasing a diversity quota in the materia market.
I don't see how VIT makes more sense. Saying it should be VIT because it has HP on the sword? I think it should be DEX because DEX=Accuracy, that's on the sword. Oh, hey, MND=Healing Potency and that's on Curtana, I guess it's MND!! It could literally be everything but Accuracy, because STR=Increased Spirits Within Damage as well.
I'm going to assume his line of reasoning was that VIT is an essential core state for Paladin, Whereas Accuracy is quite negligible in comparison. Your information concerning the actual states on the relic weapons correlating to what the materia is seems to make sense also, though.
On a side note, I wonder if turning in a +1 double melded materia makes any difference...

BTW we did a couple AV runs last night. 43 individual "Miser's Mythril" chests were opened, each one contained dark matter. Seems like we'll be spamming AV for a while to get our 3 chunks.
The #1 provisioner earns a beastman seal from the captain every time at the end of a lv.2 hamlet.
Has anyone considered the outcome of scoring top 3 provisioner in a hamlet that's only lv.1? Does anyone already know what the reward is?
Id assume its still a seal? As far as I know the rewards from the militia captain don't really change between level 1 and level 2
Lvl 1 is still a seal, but not 100% drop.
If its anything like Primals, SE likes to make those 'Individual Chests' out to about 8-9% drop rate. Could be unlucky to not have one out of 43 opens also unless the drop rate is less than that even. In any case its one way to make this content last until 2.0 I guess.
We just had a group member go 1/5 for the Chest. Can't really tell the rate until we get a lot more data on it.
