8 man "raids" = final content?

I cleared steps pre-nerf. It wasn't that hard honestly with some coordination and will power. the big thing even post nerf people need to quit doing is assigning jobs based on class. I finally told the tank in one run "Dude the Bard is in my LS and trying to get a clear for 3.0, stop being a jack ass and just let me use the dragon killer since I got it's timing perfect the last 8 times I fired it!". when the others agreed he rage quite like a baby. Next take comes in about 5 seconds after and I go "Mind if I get DK?" and his response is "If you got the timing down go for it."

We cleared it before Visharp even got to the end of the bridge that way. I don't know who the other 3 gave comes too, (I got two my self) but my com went straight to the new tank that played to strengths not perceived rolls.

Well when you're talking about a group of random people you don't know, their class is pretty much the single thing you can be totally sure of.

In your case you knew something he didn't, namely that you would be a better choice for the DK position than your bard friend. Him rage-quitting over that was silly, but from his perspective the assignment as he knew it was correct.

That's where communication comes in. After the third wipe because of poor timing on waaaay more than just DK, he should have made an attempt to find the problem. Tanks are usually the unofficial team leaders because of their forward position in battle so it's extremely poor leadership not to communicate. And while admittedly I was kind of childish about it my self it was proof of his lack of qualification for the tank role that he refused to listen to his team even after several attempts ended in failure.

Its hard enough finding 8 competent people with the skills to progress through the most difficult content whilst being undergeared for it. Now multiply this by 3, and have fun finding 24 skilled, dedicated competent people.

Because 24 man parties is pretty tedious and gets pretty annoying. One of the reasons I don't like going into towers is because you have people that will place their DPS over mechanics and whipe the entire group. Waiting on the majority of the 24 people gets annoying as well. If they do consider making more 24-man content, a kick alliance needs to be made and the option to create the entire 24 man party. A good example of as to why they need to be implemented is actually the first Crystal tower as it's really easy to make it to where you cannot proceed without the cooperation of your members. Now imagine a troll alliance not standing on pads during Atmos or the final boss or killing skeletons right next to the bone dragon.
