Out of morbid curiosity, what could DE do to make tanks want to tank non-raid content?
Because that sounds more like a game issue as opposed to a role one.

Or it wouldn't really help anything because the inflated amount of dps we already have wont roll it and the tanks we do have might try it out. Leaving you with the exact same ratio to pull from for DF.
From past experience, ease of use is enough to help the tank pool.
That said, a third tank would be nice for variety's sake. Seeing that we only have 9 jobs in the game so far, the tank to heals ratio is fine. We might need a new tank if we got two new classes and 4 new jobs to go with it. One of those 4 new jobs would have to be a tank.
I would tank except for:
1. I don't like elitists and other rude players.
2. I don't like rushing through crap.
For a change I'd like to see a magic-based tank job. Something that has a passive buff that negates a percentage of incoming damage and possibly reflects it back on the attacker with an enmity consideration. Give them some sort of self-healing that relies on inflicting damage, 10-15% damage leech. The flip side of the passive buff is they could set it much like Sword Oath to deal damage so that when they're not tanking they're still able to contribute. Maybe also have their self-heal return a small 5-10% heal to other party members in range or again let that have a choice between HP/MP/TP regen. I'd play a tank class like that without a moment's hesitation.
[QUOTE=kenji815;1915320]WIth current que time i think there is a need for 3rd tank class.
there is a lack of tank. if you que with dps it easily take 40-70 min wait time which is stupid.

There is NOT a tank shortage. There are plenty of Tanks that will not tank outside their FC nor do they need to. Adding another tanking class will not help you wait as a DPS in a queue.
What you want are tanks willing to put up with jerks(tanks can be jerks too no doubt), abusive players(again tanks can and do fall into this category), healers that that stay in cleric stance, dps that actively tries to pull agro, other tanks that do not follow mechanics (CTs bone dragon anyone?) and pull adds to the wrong spot, etc. Your average pug is actually worse in my experience than the juvenile mindset in WoW (and I never thought I would say that).
