Just keep Protect on your bar, switch it on before you get into queue, cast it, then switch it off for another skill. It's really not hard.Quote:

Also: I actually got a cool run two weeks ago. I got the Aery and was with my sister as WHM, we got a couple. Since my sister and me have the same surname and both or dps too it was a funny situation. We chatted a lot and did the run without rush. Everyone got a commentation at the end. It was fun :D -

Yeah there are some who find it fun to take aggro from tanks. Never understood why they choose to do it in PUGs where literally no one finds that amusing. Those that don't know better may be all " wtf tank keep aggro."

I dont get healers who are so adamant about not casting it, but people/tanks refusing to go ahead without are just as bad - just shrug it off, they're making their own job harder, not yours. -

Funny enough this reminds me of a story before SB, when Cleric Stance was still good. So naturally it was my first cross class choice on scholar. I got thrown into Sastasha with a bunch of germans who I politely informed that I dont have protect at this level (changing would have meant cooldown-reset at that point) because I prefer helping DPS at that we'll be perfectly fine without it.
The warrior wasnt happy about that and started mass-pulling. In Sastasha NM. I dont remember the DPS we had, but do remember that we had basically no AoE. I had to spam heal him through 10+ mobs while he claimed he could have pulled even more with protect on (would have actually only be possible if protect would have spawned more mobs, since he grab everthing he could already) and made snarky remarks about how I didnt got to dps now (which I actually did anyways...). Run took longer than it would have with me dpsing, but we got through it without wipes.
Again: I'm all for casting protect, but being so upset about someone not casting it - as long as you dont wipe - seems like wasted energy and time to me. -

I pressed no due to the "kick reason" being labeled as "cheating", which was not what was happening, but it passed anyways. What bothered me was the healer being so adamant about it, and not giving an explanation. And asking "you moving anytime", when I was doing the standard courteous thing of waiting for the healer to protect. I'd kinda expect some note of "I'm not using protect because reason XYZ, we can go as is" instead of "why are you not a mind reader?" Had the healer done that instead I'd have actually felt a bit bad about the kick going through. :/Quote:
