Wait the English v/a is trans? Why did nobody mention it?!

I have to ask, can you post or say something without degrading one another and making you yourself look superior? Like, seriously, "Illiterate"? "Insufficient"? I do understand that you want to sound intellectual and reasonable, but there are ways in doing so without degrading others.
People respond better to emotion than raw facts and statistics. Embarrassing them so they focus and pay attention is the best way to make sure they remember and understand what's being told to them.
Would I like to just give information out? Sure, but people insist on being dishonest, not really an effective option.
To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Wuk Lamat. The humour is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of tacos most of the jokes will go over a typical player's head. There's also Wuk's optimistic outlook, which is deftly woven into her characterisation- her personal philosophy draws heavily from A Trekkie's Tale literature, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these jokes, to realise that they're not just funny- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike Wuk Lamat truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, the humour in Wuk's existential catchphrase "I think I'm gonna be sick," which itself is a cryptic reference to Hiro Mashima's Fairy Tail. I'm smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Yoshi P's genius wit unfolds itself on their computer monitors. What fools.. how I pity them. í ½í¸‚
And yes, by the way, i DO have a Wuk Lamat tattoo. And no, you cannot see it. It's for the ladies' eyes only- and even then they have to demonstrate that they're within 5 IQ points of my own (preferably lower) beforehand. Nothin personnel kid í ½í¸Ž
I've already gathered a lot of evidence in the Voice thread about why Wuk's voice is so lacking. People aren't transphobic for not liking her, we've criticized her acting because she can't scream in the vocal range she uses for Wuk Lamat and the evidence is in the below tweet.

The Latin American, Hispanic, side don't like her because her accent is a terrible representation for them. For a prominent character MC lead for FFXIV, it's shameful that they go what ended up as a fake accent that breaks into an American one during voice dialogues. She herself agrees, if she can't fulfill the requirement for the role then it means she's not fit for the role.

If you're thinking it's because the VA is trans, it's not and highly likely that the VA is terrible person for attacking another VA, or in general all white and cis VAs nonstop, on twitter. In her own words, it can't be hate-targeting and you have to accept that.

In terms of writing, everyone has already said what was bad with Wuk Lamat. The character is written like as if someone saw clips of Naruto. She lacks what makes Naruto lovable, like the underdog trope where everyone hated him, and he was a total loser who had to work hard to earn his respect from his own village which he got after the Pain Arc. Wuk barely grows and just talks about friendship and tradition, and then instead of saving Zoraal Ja she aims to kill him. Naruto reached out his hand to Sasuke, and brought his first friend, who he saw as a brother because Naruto didn't grow up with a family, back.
If anything that kind of substantiates what I was saying in what you directly quoted, but to address it in the fullness of my points-
Incompetence in reading and story critique is not exclusive to the U.S. believe it or not. The VA's performance itself was a small part of my initial points.
To come in here with such ugly disregard for others and to level such insults makes me honestly think you lack reading comprehension and compassion, which is funny because one of the games first plot points are literally about such things. Ignorance begets strife, understanding begets fellowship... not to mention the through line this same principle has through the entire previous expansions. You could have joined in the discussion added what you think works with Wuk Lamat so the devs potentially might see, been as constructive as possible, instead you choose to detract and mudsling instead.
Same here, I also played through the MSQ with Japanese voices and I still found Wuk to be quite.....linear and not to my liking. To be honest, I've never felt this frustrated with any character this much. In my opinion, Wuk is borderline Mary Sue and that's a sign of something I don't really enjoy.
