The name is good
K'hira Nurhiyo from the Hipparion tribe, daughter of K'nurhiyo Nunh
Those are all mooncat names, and there's a couple of suncat names in the mooncat list as well. What I imagine happened is that the character model was tinkered with later, after the character had already been placed. There's a Lalafell with the same situation: http://ffxiv.gamerescape.com/wiki/Keketo Since she's plainsfolk, the name should be Ketoto or maybe Tokeke.
If you wanted to keep them "canon" without either changing their name or their model, probably they were raised by nonbiological parents.
But in that case the name will be Hira and anyway nurhiyo will be too long for a male cat. I could agree and change my name for racial convenctions but the only name that sound good for me is O'khira Nurhyo... but the mole tribe? Come on moles? Dodos? Eorzea lacks of aggressive fauna? Y'shtola of the jaguars, O'khira of the moles!?!?!?!?! No way!
Funny thing is that my Hyur's name is already from a certain branch of the Celtic languages and I named her years ago. Conveniently conventioned :)
I love how this forum brought out the long time forum lurkers to post ^ ^ Welcome, welcome:D
I'm a voyeur-- eh lurker all right :D Thanks~!
Sometimes a thread is worth replying to.
I'd like to, but N'aivir looks kind of weird
I suppose sticking to the lore rules I could rename my character Smokito dorito
