This is actually what a lot of people that isn't Rokien state lol. "If it's not a standard MMO don't expect it to succeed"..so if he personally feels that way it's no different than how other people treat this game not being a standard MMO because they like something other MMOs did better.

I think rokien has some kind of issues, but I'm with him on this matter.

An advancing storyline - YES
An advancing storyline that replaces the EXPing - NO

I like quest chains :( They get me more involved in the game. Right now the story is separate from the actual game. You do cutscenes and instanced NPCs for story, then go out and act as if nothing ever changed in the world and kill 99999999999999999 marmots.

EDIT: Of course, there would still be grinding and PLing for people who don't like quests.

He's throws a bunch of stuff out of the blue and "hopes to win the eyes of the FFXIV boards" so the game can be "Rokien's Game" nothing more nothing less.

Yeah, like a storyline generally should be. You shouldn't be thrown to level cap for speaking with NPCs honestly...but that's what people like.

A storyline shouldn't have any effect on the actual game and should only serve as a very brief break from 10 levels of grinding, you mean?
