I would like to introduce you to one of those "Back in my days" in 2.5. Back then Steps of faith was pretty hard. You need full cooperation from all 8 team members to complete this trial to advance the story. In JP DCs we initially were having trouble but after a couple wipes and study we were able to clear with no issues in pug groups. But then I think a couple of NA/EU players started complaining here and it was nerfed and after the initial nerf people were still complaining too hard. So, yeah. JP DCs majority of us were able to clear relatively easy because we could make a macro and let people choose theirs roles to do cannons or activate the spear.

One of the big issues with Steps of Faith is once you had cleared it there was no point clearing it again and it was in the trail roulette and it was not the effort to clear so people just jumped as it wasn't fun took ages to explain and was very easy to mess up and and to run to the end to reset. It wasn't that it was too hard it was that people didn't want to run it in the numbers needed

You both are right, it got nerfed to mars, and nobody(including myself and many friends after clearing) wanted to do it again, if it could be helped. One failed instance was what, 15 20 min of time, easier to just take the penalty and go crafting.

Nope, I said that you and other forum users do not influence his game in any way, so neither you nor he really have anything to worry about. In the end, everyone can have fun doing content that they like, because this is just a video game, not IRL work.

Even if you only play 2-3 hours a day, the game literally teaches you mechanics through countless mechanics just by playing the game. Most first time learning parties dont expect a clear upon the first lockout anyway.

I know when I first tried to clear SOS EX it took me 3 lockouts on different days. A person who plays less than 1 hour a day probably doesnt do extreme or savage content.

I play for several hours a day and I don’t play savage or extreme content. I find that content too difficult so I just avoid it. I hear Bozja and those red chocobo stuff is also quite difficult. I had considered doing Bozja until I heard all the horror stories lol.

So then they do listen to the English community. (As I suspected, but I do wonder from time to time.) I guess it's just a matter of listening doesn't mean agreeing when people complain but SE doesn't follow suit, or there is complicating factor.

Yes and no. Probably their internal stats about clear ratio was the reason behind nerfing that duty. In any case, Step of Faith pre-nerf wasn't hard, just required doing stuff outside your regular role.
