Please speak for yourself. I am more than happy to start paying and showing my support to SE.
And really? Bending the rules of the reality of business? *eye twitches*

Dude, that's creepy o,o'
And I'm sure it's violating many, many human rights, even ignoring the fact that it could hurt SE a lot to show other companies what they are working on..
I wouldn't want this.
A bit of information every few days/weeks, pictures and videos of 2.0 is more than enough.
If people really want to be compensated - well, we get a whole exclusive story line, only for us!
If that is still not enough, give them some nice items or something, but don't request creepy stuff like that:(
Yeah I already brought this up, it actually violates certain laws within Japan above all. Though honestly, Square gave the most compensation that any company has with MMOs, they gave over a years worth of free playtime -- most companies sell off their MMO or shut the MMO down if it didn't meet expectations.
.......No.
Not true. They could pull the plug at any time. Shareholders will not go unheard if CEOs and the like wish to keep their jobs. They probably won't because SE wants to recover from a very embarrassing launch and prove the fruits of their labor worth doing, but that doesn't mean it is impossible. It could still happen.
You mean for the late sub fee. You have had over a year free. Now its time to pony up. Its just that simple.
If you feel the game isn't good enough to pay then stop playing.
Everyone is just being cheap, and want to play for free. The last free your has them addicted to fre play. Then there are thoe who claim the game is broken, no fun, or not worth paying for. Anyone who says that is defining there own character. Anyone with a lick of sense would't waste there time with a brokern game, while having no fun, even for free.
SO either play and pay, or don't pay, but remember, everyone hates a whiner, and everyone hates a crybaby, so stay or go..........just remember......stay or go are the only to options........not.........stay, or go, or stay and bitch or go and bitch.
because people want it to stay free
if given a choice between free and paying for something, people will always go with the free option
it isnt about quality, quanitity or anything else, its about personal greed and selfishness
hell even id rather go free then paid, but you know what, i live in reality and know these games are supposed to be paid games
Off course if you take it this way, they could, just like Blizzard could close WoW tomorrow if they wanted to. That's not the point here, off course we all know that any company can shut down any product when they want. The fact that XIV is a part of the main FF series kinda forced SE to fight in order to try and improve the game. They aren't doing it just for the small XIV fanbase to be happy, but for their overall image, and for all non XIV players but fans of the FF franchise. SE just couldn't let a "numbered title" in the series just vanish like that. It would be a shame for SE and to the whole FF franchise. (we all heard Wada already)
If XIV was made by a smaller company, wasn't a "14th" but a #1, I hardly doubt it would still be living as of now. The company wouldn't care. When you start a brand new project that's not a part of the series, if your whole concept fail, you just give up and move on to something else.
Not true at all, for most of people maybe, but not everyone. We have seen that a lot with artists releasing their work (could it be music, or books/comics) for free and leaving the consumer the choice to give a little something (sometime a lot), or just get the stuff for free.Quote:

Surprisingly enough, lot of people are willing to pay if they enjoy the product they got. The same goes for donations when it comes to freeware, lot of users are will to help the authors.
Off course that's far from being the majority, we all agree on that :p
