Yes, like every other part of the game there is gear that you gain as you go. You also if you earn the higher level 60 gear you can use it to help you get closer to the next piece.

The current "PVP RANK SYSTEM" has no progression to it. So it punishes you until the end unlike the rest of the game.

If other parts of the game did this... you would have a DEAD GAME.

Yep, that is my main issue. There is nothing to spend it on, and you just have it pooling. There is no Progression...

It does have progression in the form of merit points to allocate to your pvp abilities, far more important than any gear you could buy with marks. Right now all pvp can be done without morale in i160s, so do the grind like we all did back in 2.2-now, and get your gear ready for ranked WD(Sorry you came late to the pvp party, but that doesn't excuse you from the same exp requirements that we went through).

Progression is earning gear on the way to high level rank you can use. You don't start "Progression" until you can do the zones that get you high level gear.

You earn each piece and wear it until you get your next pieces until you have a full set. That is "Progression."

There is no progression in PvP.

The "Merit Points" are useless unless you are not in a PvP zone, thus there is no progression. Progression is the rewards you show your friends and guildmates after beating a boss. (Aka like wearing a piece of gear.) and you get more and more as you play.

Lol ok I guess your definition of progression and its actual definition differ, but that's your problem and only you can fix that state of mind. I should heed my own advice and not get into convos with you, seeing how you disregard what I state.

I thought you wanted to remove rank restriction on the high end gear so that you can use it, not spending points. So in that in perspective, you'd be fine if the current requirement stays, but you can buy ilvl 150 gear at rank 40 and lower which are remodels of dungeon sets.

what are you talking about? rank is the easiest PvP goal that you can reach.

I'm rank 50 and still don't have enough marks to purchase all the gears for one job, let alone all jobs. I also have way to go to get other rewards from achievements.

I have almost my full set already.

Dont get mad but i actually glamoured my pvp gear with dreadwyrm/crafted stuff because that new set is ugly as fuck, some weapons are kinda cool tho.
