I smell BS.
The score is unusually high for his settings. I used the same settings and my overclocked 3930k/GTX 680 gets a score of 6317. I do believe he's really using a GTX Titan based off his driver version (9.18.0013.1409). Those drivers may have performance improvements, which I can't verify because those drivers can't be installed with a GTX 680.
EDIT: 6317 score is at 1600p not 1080p, that is why it is so low.
This is my same set up as before, but with Virtu MVP enabled. About a 2% increase. Barely did anything, it's such a gimmicky tech lol.

I still suffered in crazy insane second-and-a-half slowdowns when it first switched to every separate battle scene, but things flow smoothly after the initial lag spike. Anyone aware why?
ALSO there is a mysterious 'Increase overall quality' checkbox in the settings that... Suddenly made my score jump to 4.2k and I saw no appreciable difference when it was unticked?
Anyone knows what it does?
I think it's more your score that's unusually low considering your setup. You should be over 8k at 1080p max settings. As for drivers. I doubt AMD and Nvidia already have specific drivers for this benchmark, so it cant be that.
You should run the bench several times and see if the score changes or maybe even lower your OC a bit if you did this. Sometimes when you OC your card too much you suffer drop rates.
I dont what know it is but there is definitely something lowered when you uncheck the box. I went from 8100>9200 at 1080p max and 68>79fps.
I didnt see any difference either but with those always moving scenes it's not easy to notice subtle changes if seeable changes there are.
I was planning on updating my video card to the 680, But with my gtx 480 I'm scoring 6100 on max settings and 7100 on max settings but LOD on and shadows normal instead of high. I was hoping to score 8k+ with a gtx 680 but seeing your score of 6k is making me not want to upgrade my card to the 680.... Can you post your CPU, mother board specs.
Hi, thats the score I'm hoping to get, I'm currently getting 6100 on max 1080p on my gtx 480, that being said I'm planning on upgrading my card to the 680, question I have for you is, Does your mother board support PCI-E 2.0 X 16 or are you using a mother board that supports PCI-E 3.0?
Trying to do some re-search before upgrading to 680 as I seen people with 8k scores on the 680 and others getting 6k on the 680, just trying to understand what the reason for that is before I dish out $500 on a 680.
Main PC = 5500ish.
Crappy laptop = 1500.
Hey guys, how would I go about checking if my gtx 660ti is super clocked or not? When I bought it it said it was a Gtx 660ti sc, but how would I check that?
Hmmm, we have it running. But we're not sure which of these numbers will tell us if its a sc card or not. Would it be the clock speed?
Sorry about this, first time looking into such things.
Is your GTX 660 Ti SC made by Evga?
You can compare what you see in GPU-Z to what EVGA has listed on their site. Look at GPU Clock and Memory. You need to multiple the memory speed by 4 to compare.
http://www.evga.com/Products/Product...set=GTX+660+Ti
Gpu clock: 980 mhz
memory: 1502 mhz
boost: 1059 mhz
defaults are the same
And yes its an evga card
Default are the same because you didn't overclock it further than the default factory overclocked settings. Tools like MSI afterburner allow you to overclock further.
Yes your card is SC
Quick question can the benchmark be run in full screen my runs on windower mode
Wonder why I see other people with basicly identical PC parts. Same CPU, same GTX690, same amount of memory etc etc, but my score swing between 7200 and 6900. While others who uses the same stuff as I do, has 8-9000+ score.
I have also seen people posted they ran their benchmark with a resolution of 2560x1600, which is what my Dell U3011 uses, but I cannot find it in the settings on the benchmark :p
And does Internet speed play a part in this benchmark also?

This is weird. I ran the except same setting, but turned a few things off, and I got 6630 score. Less than my test with everything one. What is going on :/
And how do I change the ini file btw?
How do you disable a SLI when it is onboard the card itself?
Did the test again with maximum setting and 2560x1600 resolution. And I thought I would do better than this considering all the money I put into this machine ;/

How to enable/disable SLI
Remember to enable SLI when you go to play other games. You will get monster performance when NVIDIA updates their driver game profiles to support FFXIV ARR. This probably won't happen probably till it's close to launch. This is one of the quirks you have to put up with with multiple GPUs.
There ARE some arcane things that make a computer give different results. If your machine is cramped in a corner or it's a particularly hot day it can take a hit in performance, if you're in the elemental place of ice- I mean Canada- it can have a performance boost.
Computers are finicky sometimes because they're susceptible to external factors. I ran the benchmark twice with the same settings and got two results 500 apart
According to EVGA Precision X, My GPU was stable at 36degree Celcius, and my Motherboard even lower, so it isnt running hot or anything. The PC case is a CM932 BIG, which has 4 big fans, and uses the Corsair H100 CPU cooler.
I will just wait and hope SLI is supported. I normally shy away from SLI setups, and might even sell my 690 for the Gtx Titan instead :p XDDD
Here is my score, Cant wait 2 more days :)
https://si0.twimg.com/profile_images...b3588b583d.png
I avoid multi GPU setups. I read a lot of reviews of GTX Titan. It's not quite as fast as GTX 690, however it's more consistent since it doesn't rely on profiles made by NVIDIA.
I have order a GTX Titan, hopefully I can get next week. However, being in the elemental place of ice it might take awhile. I'll post benchmarks when I get it.

not as high as some people but I can run max on my desktop my new laptop... no but i'm still happy with the results
OMG :( I am so screwed now :((
I turned off the 2nd GPU, and now I cant log into Nvidia Control Panel to put it back on as it says:
You are not currently using a display attached to an Nvidia GPU
I tried connecting my monitor to other connectors as well as all the DVI and MiniDP on the card itself, but nothing would show up on my screen :(
Is there any help or do I need to take my PC into a PC repair place to get it fixed :(
Man, I hate SLI more and more now :(((
I'm looking it up. There should be no issues disabling SLI.
Edit: Try this
1. Reboot
2. Or reinstall latest video card drivers.
Phhheeeewww. I managed to sort it by going into Devices on Control Panel and reactivated the shut off GPU. All is well.
Quite the scare that I did not need right before bed lol. I will deffo go buy a Titan GTX when I can buy it and when they are in store here in Norway :p
Well, I am finally going to bed lol. 4 AM and I am dead tired :p
Niiiiight xD
Phew... you had me worried I broke your system ^^
Nah. I dont blame you at all. I sat there, should I or should I not. I did so it was my choice xD
I also see you are from Balmung, im hoping to be able to transfer there once ARR goes live and have already been invited by Eorzean Explorers Society and get to be with my new sweetheart Yuniko :3
