Haha funny.. but the way they say it.. sounds like something we haven't seen before.. like 3/4 pictures from this event I don't recognize.. the other 1 looks like Bahamut. and the other ones.. if people happen to see it.. its because they used the "Forbidden Taboo" of the .dat files! Which is not SE's Fault >.>.

So for the most part most of what we been seeing is rather new.. .dat mining does not make something new.. when they never attempted to show us in the first place. I can't wait to see the full pictures of the event, and the Special Surprise! :D.

Jeeze, there's no reason for the Dev Team to even apologize. Whether it's new art or not, who really cares? Are you people THAT anxious to complain and make a big deal to the point that the team feels obligated to apologize?

And personally... despite the "Behemoth concept art crisis of 2012" I'm actually enjoying the little contest. Trying to figure out what the pictures could be is actually pretty cool (And not as easy as I would have thought)
And to be truly honest... I like this better than just revealing the pictures. They could do this for more concept art between now and 2.0 and I would not be opposed to it

Yeah, I agree. Actually, I think it would be cool if they did something like this with screenshots as well. You could even tell me "this is going to be a screenshot of the interior of Ishgard" before even revealing any tiles, and I would be glued to my computer monitor to see the reveal of every new square.

I would say neither.. too soon for omega or ultima the tail is too short.. and wings? Well whatever its hopes is challenging

Omega and Ultima have many fairly similar forms in the series. Usually a beast with a tail, 4 legs, 2 hands and relatively recently has wings of some sort.

I didn't want to think it was a weapon at first either but honestly what else in FF has every had that distinctive body structure? I wanted to think it was a weird Bahamut on 4 legs or something similar since that would make more sense based on where we are boss-wise. I figured anything like a weapon would be level 99 content and not coming for quite a while... but the second I saw that right hand, it became difficult to doubt.

Although just because they're showing this now doesn't mean it's going to be in 2.0 at launch. It's still likely to be quite a ways off.

Like I said in that other thread. If that doesn't convince people it's Ultima Weapon, I don't know what does. That sure as hell looks like Ultima Weapon from FFVII and FFVIII. Suirieko is very happy!

If justice is done to Ultima he won't be beaten for a year and then only by the absolute best players on every server.
It deserves no less. Even if he's added to the game with 2.0 I wouldn't mind if he's completely untouchable until an ultimate level cap increase.
